In response, the Kuomintang and the People's Party jointly blocked the bill from the Legislative Yuan, and the Kuomintang and the People's Party jointly sent the case back to the Procedure Committee for re-examination by a vote of 56 to 49.
In addition to blocking the DPP's proposals, the five bills on the reform of the Legislative Yuan voted on this time are aimed at containing the DPP's forces, and the bill on the normalization of the leader of the Taiwan region making a report to the Taiwan legislature can be said to be specially designed for Lai Qingde and to limit Lai Qingde's power.
The Taiwan legislature's investigative powers, hearing powers, and contempt for the Taiwan legislature are aimed at cracking down on legislators like the DPP who like to engage in "armed fighting" in the Legislative Yuan.
