Liangzhu Museum is an archaeological site museum that collects, researches, displays and promotes Liangzhu culture.
The theme of the basic exhibition is "Liangzhu is a holy place that proves the history of Chinese civilization for more than 5,000 years", relying on the three exhibition halls of "Water Town", "Holy Land of Civilization" and "Jade Soul and National Spirit", focusing on the display of various precious cultural relics such as jade, stoneware, pottery and lacquered wood of Liangzhu culture, comprehensively, three-dimensionally and truly display the archaeological achievements and heritage value of Liangzhu ruins and Liangzhu culture, and reflect the important position and unique contribution of Liangzhu civilization in the historical development process of "pluralism and integration" of Chinese civilization.

The exhibition hall of "Water Town Zeguo" mainly shows that Liangzhu culture is a national characteristic built on the wetland. Through the four units of "interdependence of man and earth", "millennium time and space", "cornerstone of civilization" and "center of the country", in the form of dense display cabinets, the cultural content of Liangzhu's environment, agriculture, handicrafts, primitive writing, architecture and other cultural contents is gradually displayed from front to back, which profoundly reveals the material basis for the occurrence and development of Liangzhu civilization.

The exhibition hall of "Holy Land of Civilization" focuses on the Liangzhu site, focusing on the dissection of the ancient city of Liangzhu and its water conservancy system. Through the five units of "Discovering the Ancient City", "Capital City Pattern", "Water Conservancy Civilization", "City of God Kings" and "Early City", the functional layout of the palace area, the inner city and the outer city, as well as the large villages and water conservancy systems outside the outer city are presented one by one, revealing the traces of the state power organization embodied behind the ancient city of Liangzhu, which is an important evidence that the Liangzhu society has entered the stage of mature civilization.

Focusing on the theme of Liangzhu civilization characterized by jade, the exhibition hall of "Jade Soul and National Spirit" systematically sorts out and displays the formation of the ritual system, class differentiation, spiritual beliefs and other contents reflected in Liangzhu jade through four units: "power", "ritual system", "faith" and "inheritance", showing the unique civilization identification system of Liangzhu civilization and its important role in the inheritance and development of Chinese civilization.
