According to CCTV, during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to China, China and Russia signed and issued a joint statement. The statement mentioned that China and Russia will continue to firmly defend the achievements of World War II victory, oppose the denial, distortion and falsification of World War II history, and plan to solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War in 2025.
Generally speaking, this means that both China and Russia will hold a grand military parade next year, and this makes people curious about two things:
First, what new equipment will China display at this military parade, and will there be the long-awaited "H-20" among military fans?
Second, will China and Russia send each other a phalanx of people on the ground, or even in the air, to be reviewed by each other's leaders?

Neither of these points is a guess.
Let's start with the first point. The last time China held a grand military parade to commemorate the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was in 2015. At that military parade, China showed the world a large number of advanced domestically produced weapons and equipment, which not only shocked the world with the top strength of China's military industry, but also showed everyone China's determination to defend national sovereignty. We used that military parade to send a clear signal to the world: For the sake of peace and the happy life of the Chinese people, the PLA will not hesitate to fight!
And a large number of advanced weapons and equipment that were unveiled for the first time in the parade have naturally become a hot topic of discussion around the world. According to statistics, about 84 percent of the more than 500 pieces of equipment and 200 aircraft that were read that day were on display for the first time, including the Type 99A main battle tank, the Z-10 armed helicopter, and other main battle equipment that have been gradually installed in recent years, as well as the "Dongfeng-21D" anti-ship ballistic missile, the "Dongfeng-26" nuclear and conventional medium-range ballistic missile, and other "weapons of mass destruction." All this has shocked domestic and foreign experts and ordinary people who are concerned about the military.

And next year, 10 years will have passed since the last grand military parade. In the past 10 years, the development of China's military industry has changed with each passing day, and the outside world will naturally look forward to the appearance of new weapons and equipment.
For example, in March this year, Wang Wei, deputy commander of the People's Liberation Army Air Force, said that the H-20 long-range stealth strategic bomber will soon be officially unveiled, and mass production and service will also be gradually promoted according to the schedule. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that this fighter, which has been expected by military fans for many years, will show its true face at next year's military parade.

In addition, the latest heavy armed helicopter Z-21 of the People's Liberation Army, which was suspected to have been "declassified" not long ago because of photos on social media, the "Dongfeng-27" long-range ballistic missile claimed by the Pentagon, and the stealth fighter J-35, which may become the carrier-based aircraft of the Fujian ship, may all be unveiled at the parade, which is worth looking forward to.

And the second point is also the focus of many people's attention.
In 2015 and 2020, the honor guard of the three services of the People's Liberation Army went to Moscow twice to participate in the military parade held by the Russian side in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 2015, soldiers of the 154th Separate Guard Regiment of Russia also took part in a military parade held by the Chinese side and were the last to walk through Tiananmen Square. Therefore, at the military parade to be held between the two countries next year, there is a high probability that China and Russia will once again send each other's ground parade phalanx to participate in each other's military parade ceremonies.

In view of the high degree of mutual trust between China and Russia, some people speculate that it cannot be ruled out that the two sides will also send teams such as air parade phalanxes to participate in each other's military parades. At that time, we may see the PLA's "1 August" air show team flying over Russia's Red Square, and Russia's "Warrior" or "Swift" air show team flying over Beijing. This will undoubtedly convey to the world the consensus between China and Russia on historical issues, as well as the extremely close bilateral relations, and demonstrate the deep consensus between the two countries on safeguarding world peace.
During Putin's visit to China, China and Russia have reached a series of extensive cooperation, which has also brought the relations between the two countries to a new level. It is believed that next year's military parade will once again become another milestone for China and Russia to work together to address global challenges.
