The 12th Mianyang (Xianhai) Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Tourism Festival
It's about to be officially opened!
After a year, once again feel the passion and jubilant atmosphere of paddle in Xianhai, and participate in a Dragon Boat Festival feast with the perfect integration of traditional culture and modern vitality!
The event is jointly sponsored by the Mianyang Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, the Mianyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the Mianyang Municipal Sports Federation and the Xianhai Water Conservancy Scenic Area Management Committee. Since 2012, it has been successfully held for nine times, and has become one of the largest and most influential dragon boat races in Sichuan, attracting the attention of more than 3 million citizens and tourists from more than 20 surrounding cities.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to retaining the traditional men's big dragon boat, small dragon boat, women's small dragon boat, and Xianhai local mixed group racing events, this year's Dragon Boat Open has newly set up a mixed group of teams from various counties and cities in Mianyang City, which further expands the scale of the competition and adds highlights to the event.
It is understood that the event lasts for three days, in addition to the hot dragon boat race, there are more wonderful Dragon Boat Festival cultural tourism festival series of activities, water performances, national tide concerts, Dragon Boat Festival traditional folk customs exhibition and other rich activities and novel interactive methods, will bring an unforgettable Dragon Boat Festival feast to tourists and friends.

Dragon Boat Open Regulations and Registration Methods:
Competition time: June 10, 2024
1. Competition Categories
(1) Dragon Boat Open Group:
1. Men's 22-person 400-meter dragon boat straight race;
2. Men's 12-person 400-meter small dragon boat straight race;
3. Women's 12-person 400-meter small dragon boat straight race.
(2) Xianhai Mixed Group (only the community and unit to which Xianhai belongs are registered):
Men's and women's 12-person 400-meter small dragon boat straight race.
(3) Mixed county and urban groups (only county and urban teams apply):
Men's and women's 12-person 400-meter small dragon boat straight race.
2. How to participate
Each team can apply for 1 team leader and 1 coach. 24 athletes can be reported for the big dragon boat (1 helmsman, 1 drummer, 20 rowers, and 2 substitute athletes); There are 14 athletes (1 helmsman, 1 drummer, 10 rowers, and 2 substitute athletes).
There shall be no less than 4 female rowers in the Xianhai Mixed Group and the County and Urban Mixed Group, and no less than 4 local team members in the Xianhai Mixed Group.
