Square dancers dance not only the health of the body and the pleasure of the mood, but also the pulse of the times and the inheritance of civilization. On the morning of May 17th, the 2024 "Central Plains Dance" Square Dance Competition and Excellent Square Dance Exhibition in Longting District, Kaifeng City, was held in the "960" Cultural Square of Wuchaomen. More than 10 mass cultural and art teams and more than 100 square dance enthusiasts from Longting District gathered together to show off their dance skills, showing the healthy and progressive style of the times for the urban and rural masses with energetic and dynamic dance postures.
The event began with the square dance performance "Jiangshan", and dances such as "Drunken Spring Breeze", "I'm Waiting for You in Spring", "Spring Rain of the Century", "Green Water and Green Mountains", and "Another Year of Spring Breeze" appeared in turn. The team members are dressed in colorful performance costumes, holding their heads high, full of energy, full of energy, full of self-confidence, dancing with beautiful music, or soft and graceful, or passionate, or smart and elegant, or moving and jumping, integrating the love and praise for a better life into a dance, showing the charm of square dance with graceful body language, dancing a healthy and harmonious new style of civilization for the whole people, winning the applause of the audience, and presenting a rich audio-visual feast for the crowd. In the more than 1-hour performance, the literary and artistic teams showed their unique skills, everyone was energetic and high-spirited, and enjoyed the happiness brought by square dance.
The square dance selection and performance was sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Longting District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the District Culture and Tourism Bureau, undertaken by the Longting District Cultural Center, and co-organized by the North Bookstore Street Office. The successful holding of the event not only set up a platform for the vast number of square dance lovers and amateur literary and artistic teams in the region to learn from each other, show their style, display their achievements, learn from each other, enhance friendship and improve together, but also enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses, fully demonstrate the healthy, lively and positive spiritual outlook of the masses in the whole region, and effectively realize the cultural benefits of the people, the cultural happiness of the people, and the cultural education of the people, so that the cultural activities of the masses are truly happy and enthusiastic at the grassroots level.
