Autism is a developmental disorder of the brain characterized by impaired social interaction, impaired communication, and repetitive and limited interest behaviors. The vast majority of children need long-term rehabilitation and special education support, children with autism lack basic survival and social skills, and parents fear that their children will be excluded and discriminated against because of their unusual behavior, which will prevent them from stepping out of the home. In order to deepen everyone's understanding of autism, understand and support the difficulties and challenges faced by parents of autistic children, accept and respect autistic people, treat them equally, and let them no longer be lonely. On the afternoon of May 14th, the Dalong Street Social Worker Station and the Dongyi Community Committee of Dalong Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou City, together with the Communist Party of China, carried out the "Let Love Come and Let the Hindrance" Dongyi Community Autism Science Popularization Publicity Activity led by the Party Building in Dongyi New District, and the residents on the scene actively participated in the promotion of autism science for more than 35 residents.

Party members played a pioneering role, leading community volunteers to distribute leaflets on autism and child welfare policies to passing residents, inviting them to participate in prize quizzes. Residents didn't know much about autism at the beginning, but after volunteers explained and learned about autism, they took the initiative to sign their names on the autism advocacy board.

At the event, party members, social workers, and community volunteers disseminated knowledge about autism to residents by distributing leaflets, providing consulting services, and answering questions and answers. In the Q&A session, the pointer stopped at "What day is World Autism Day?" As soon as the volunteer's words were finished, a child raised his hand and confidently replied, "April 2nd!" Onlookers applauded. As more and more residents participated, the atmosphere of the scene became more and more lively, knowledge spread to every corner of the scene, and the connection between autistic children and residents became deeper and deeper.

Children with autism are like living in a glass ball, close at hand, but out of reach inside. This activity aims to raise awareness of autism among community residents, reduce misunderstanding and discrimination, and let every resident in the community become the driving force for the star children to "come out".
