Industry insiders pointed out that with the improvement of the number and efficiency of the opening of the line, the China-Europe train has allowed more and more Chinese products to go abroad to the world, and the influence of Chinese manufacturing brands in the world is increasing day by day. It has also made economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges between China and Europe and Central Asia more frequent, injecting new impetus into the development of the world economy.

Recently, with a whistle sounding, the 75004th China-Europe train carrying 110 GAC Trumpchi cars drove out of Guangzhou International Port Station and will exit to Europe through Manzhouli Port, which is expected to take 15 days, and add a new channel for the export of "Made in Guangdong" domestic automobiles.

In fact, not only large commodities such as domestic automobiles, but also Chinese-made home appliances and electronic products have become the main transportation items of the China-Europe Railway Express in recent years.

According to the relevant staff of customs supervision at Guangzhou Station, since the beginning of this year, the proportion of high-quality manufacturing products in the Pearl River Delta such as household appliances and electronic products in the export goods loaded by the China-Europe train at Guangzhou International Port has increased significantly, and the operation of the train has shown a qualitative increase and stable trend.

According to the data, as of the end of April, Guangzhou Station Customs has supervised the export of 68 "boutique trains" this year, accounting for about 48% of the total number of China-Europe trains in the same period, benefiting many well-known manufacturing brands in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, such as Midea, Changhong, Skyworth, Hisense, Hualing, TCL, etc., and the goods involve LCD TVs, air conditioners, kitchen appliances and other categories.

Also at Xi'an International Port Station, the largest international logistics hub in Northwest China, a China-Europe train departs or arrives here every hour and 40 minutes on average. Today, among the goods sent by the China-Europe Express in Xi'an, there are not only local goods from Shaanxi, but also goods from the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Southwest China, which are assembled in Xi'an and then sent to Europe.

In Shijiazhuang, the relevant person in charge of a foreign trade enterprise introduced that the children's toys and electric bicycles produced by the company are mainly sold to Europe. In the early years, the only way to do this was by sea, and it was necessary to transport the container back from the seaport to load the goods and then transport them back to the port, which increased the logistics cost a lot. Since Shijiazhuang has an international dry port, the company has switched to China-Europe trains to export goods, saving more than 2 million yuan per year in domestic short-distance freight alone.

Up to now, Shijiazhuang International Dry Port has operated more than 1,500 China-Europe trains, exporting "Made in China" worth more than 28 billion yuan to the "Belt and Road" countries, and effectively promoting the high-level opening up of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

"With the steady growth of the number of trains, the categories of goods transported by the trains have gradually increased from agricultural and sideline products and industrial products to thousands of Chinese products such as cars, precision instruments, and electronic components." Industry insiders pointed out that the China-Europe freight train has reduced logistics costs, saved transportation time, improved capital turnover, enhanced product competitiveness, and transported more "domestic tide brands" to the international market through China-Europe trains. With the continuous export of domestic products, it has also made economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges between China and Europe, Central Asia, West Asia and other regions more frequent.

Multi-departmental coordination makes the China-Europe Express more dynamic and attractive

In fact, behind the growth of China-Europe freight train volume is the expanding demand for capacity. In recent years, due to the continuous turbulence of the international environment, the price of shipping has been high, especially after the outbreak of the Red Sea crisis at the end of last year, the demand for China-Europe freight trains has become stronger.

The relevant person in charge of the Transportation Technology Center of the Comprehensive Transportation Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission pointed out that the China-Europe Express has relatively unique technical and economic comparative advantages, and its comprehensive logistics cost can save 8% to 20% compared with the traditional sea-rail intermodal transportation mode, which has a strong attraction for high value-added, strong timeliness, especially the logistics demand with high "landside dependence".

Behind the vitality and attractiveness of the China-Europe Express, it is inseparable from the cooperation of relevant departments such as China Railway Group, local customs and channel ports to continue to promote the high-quality development of China-Europe Express.

According to the person in charge of the freight department of China Railway Group, since the beginning of this year, China Railway Group has continued to carry out the transportation test of the South Passage of China-Europe trains from Xi'an, Chongqing, Yiwu to Poti, Georgia, and Istanbul, Turkey, and successfully opened the China-Europe Express from Urumqi in Xinjiang to Salerno, Italy across the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea.

At the same time, China Railway Group has also strengthened communication and coordination with customs, border inspection and other departments, actively promoted the rapid railway customs clearance mode, coordinated overseas railway enterprises to increase the intensity of receiving and reloading, and improved the efficiency of port transportation and customs clearance facilitation, and the number of ports in the west (Alashankou, Khorgos), middle (Erlian) and east passage (Manzhouli, Suifenhe, Tongjiangbei) increased by 11%, 14% and 7% respectively year-on-year.

The above-mentioned person in charge said that the continuous stable and high-quality operation of the China-Europe Railway Express has ensured the stability and smoothness of the international supply chain and effectively promoted the interconnection between China and Europe. China Railway Group will focus on high-quality services to jointly build the "Belt and Road", continuously improve the operation quality and efficiency of China-Europe trains, promote the development of China-Europe trains in the direction of higher quality, better efficiency and safer, and provide strong transportation service guarantee for promoting the development of foreign trade in the mainland and providing high-level services for opening up to the outside world.

In addition, in terms of related services, such as the Xi'an high-level hub platform, the service efficiency and level are continuously optimized. At present, the hub platform has realized the data connection of customs and railways, providing enterprises with one-stop, one-ticket international intermodal transportation services, reducing the comprehensive cost of door-to-station transportation by more than 15%, and the implementation of tax rebate at the country's first land port of departure has been effective, and the tax rebate time has been reduced from 1 month to 3 days. At the same time, it also launched the "one enterprise, one policy" to accurately help Shaanxi enterprises "go to sea", opened customized special trains such as Shaanxi Automobile and LONGi, built a gateway port system such as designated ports for the import of grain, meat and finished vehicles and a national second-hand car export pilot, and launched the "first inspection, then packing" model to optimize the bulk cargo consolidation business process.

Industry insiders pointed out that the operational efficiency of the China-Europe train has been greatly improved, the stay time of goods in Hong Kong has been significantly shortened, and the "steel camel caravan" has been running day and night, driving the accelerated circulation of commodities and enriching the choices of the masses along the line. As an important carrier of interconnection, interoperability and reciprocity between China and the countries and regions of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe Railway Express will continue to strengthen cooperation between different countries, promote economic development, and help the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve steady and long-term development.
