In June 1988, Yu Qixia went to Australia with the location team of "Happy Tonight" to shoot a special, and the car was in a car accident on the way to Darwin Harbour, and the victims were Jia Sile, Mak Jingting and other artists. Five years after suffering from a car accident and cancer, on October 15, 1993, at 11 p.m., Yu Qixia finally died in the hospital and passed away, getting the last relief in her life.
Yu Qixia was funeral on October 25, 1993, and Chen Baiqiang also died of illness on the same day. According to media reports, Chen Baiqiang's family also sent wreaths to Yu Qixia's memorial service on behalf of Chen Baiqiang on the same day, which also caused a lot of heated discussions at the time, and many media said that Yu Qixia took Chen Baiqiang away, which was a bit destined by God, and Wu Chufan and Huang Jiaju also died in the same year.
