Mission 0: Tutorial level
Before entering the game for the first time, you can adjust the color tone and various controls of the game, so that old players can quickly adapt to the new game environment.
The main purpose of the tutorial levels is to familiarize players with the basics of the game, and it is recommended that both new and experienced players go through it.
First of all, follow the guide to familiarize yourself with the lens operation of this work.
Because it is a three-dimensional space, players who are not familiar with the "QE key" to adjust the height of the camera can modify it in the settings.
The "field of view" of this work is mainly controlled by the sensor, and things that are not included in the sensor range are basically invisible.
Press the spacebar to open the tactical view to see the current sensor range.
The gyroscope at the bottom of the screen can be used to orient you, and the main body of the gyroscope can also be fixed to a ship with the help of a button.
The circular counters around the gyroscope represent the time flow rate, which can be adjusted by the player in single-player mode.
There are 5 speed settings from "Near Pause" to "Normal Speed".
Unit selection is the same as in most RTS games, with the regular modes of box selection and formation.
The resource unit of this work is "RU", and the production unit and research technology are shared.
The following figure is the resource, and you can see the remaining amount by placing the mouse on it.
Press the "B" key to open the build menu.
If the player has more than one production unit at the same time, the production unit menu closest to the current view will be opened first.
Note: The ships that can be produced vary depending on the production unit.
Scientific and technological research is also shared with the production menu, which can be viewed by placing the mouse on it.
In terms of attacking control, you can use the regular "right-click" or "Ctrl + right-press and hold the box selection".
It should be noted that the current version (1.0) of the box selection attack cannot contain friendly units, and is not that intelligent.
Once you have selected your combat unit, you can select the formation formation in the UI in the lower left corner.
Right-click to open the formation menu, and choose the one that suits the situation.
Similarly, the ROE (Rules of Engagement) of this formation can also be modified at any time.
The mooring function learned after that was relatively useful in the early stage.
Ships moored to the mothership can quickly regenerate health. Once the formation is selected, you can also use the "F3" key to quickly select remnant units.
In terms of the movement of the battleship, you can press the right mouse button to open the movement box, you can move the selected position, and you can also adjust the height of the target point.
Mission 1: Higara
Entering the main story, the protagonist of the campaign mission is "Imokin" as a navigator.
After watching the opening story, enter the campaign level, and the first level is also to familiarize players with some basic operations.
As the player's core unit, the mothership has the ability to attack, but try not to let it directly participate in the battle.
Produce a reconnaissance boat, and after attacking the target, you can enter the next story.
In the plot, it can be learned that the player's Higara faction has been attacked by unknown forces.
And we carry the hope of the entire Higara force, and when we are ready, we will go deep into the enemy's hinterland to find the truth in the anomaly area.
On the other hand, during the first jump, Imogen was also caught up in the vision, and the only words that came came were "Open the door".
Mission 2: Facility 315
After watching the story, enter the operation stage.
The first goal is to produce detectors and expand our range of sensors.
After production, just move it directly to the designated position.
[Note] Every level after that is basically the first action to expand the field of vision.
After that, follow the instructions to produce the reconnaissance boat and ensure the safety of the destination.
It is advisable to build at least 10 reconnaissance boats in advance for subsequent battles.
Enemies will appear on the way while waiting for the transmission to be completed, so just divide them into two teams and clip them.
Before the teleportation is complete, enemies will be spawned nearby.
It's good to produce while researching new spaceships, and the surrounding resources are basically relatively reorganized.
New unit: Interceptor ship
It is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized targets and is the most basic combat unit.
Enemy carriers appear after completing the battle.
The combat capability of the mothership is also relatively weak, so it is good to directly station a wave of interceptor ships on top.
Some enemies will also come out from time to time during the battle, but they will basically not come directly towards the mothership.
After shooting down an enemy aircraft carrier, he enters the plot, and learns from the plot that these pirates are the remnants of the country that our forces once destroyed.
But as pirates, they have a level of technology far beyond ours, and it seems that there are still people behind them.
Continue to jump to the next location, but encounter a vision again on the way.
Mission 3: Little Caesura
The main objective of this level is to use the stargate after activating several sites.
It is worth mentioning that all friendly units that were not killed in the previous level will arrive with the jump, which can save a lot of materials.
The image below marks one of the main objectives of the level, just let the miner pass.
However, there are basically enemies at the target point, so don't forget to expand your armament first.
The battle is mainly focused on the right side of the diagram below, and two gathering ships can be sent over to collect resources on the left.
The "data towers" scattered throughout the scene are public sensors that provide a wide field of view when occupied.
Since any unit can be occupied, it is okay to let the probe pass by.
Enemies appear near the first site, and the first episode is triggered after clearing them and capturing the site.
The location of the second site is shown in the image below, and new enemies will appear when you get closer.
New enemies have an attack bonus to light units, so it is recommended not to rush closer.
When switching to a "passive" stance, units will actively seek cover while moving or attacking, increasing their survival rate.
Follow the route below to get around to the side of the frigate.
Although it is said to be a flank attack, it is actually just a few waves of attacks that enter the attack range, and when you get close, you will fight directly in close combat.
In addition, you can also see other routes by moving the angle of view, and the picture below is the hole under the crushing platform, which can be directly circled behind.
In the middle of the battle, let the gathering ship go over and take the second site as soon as possible.
The third site location is shown below.
Since the Stargate can be activated after taking the site, the player's mothership will also need to move to the target point.
This time, the mothership doesn't need to be close to the site, just go straight to the target point and stand by.
This time, the node is guarded by two frigates, which are restrained by the newly unlocked bombers.
After taking the third site, an enemy carrier appears, and the goal is updated to defeat the carrier.
After the aircraft carrier appears, it will gradually move away from us, so it is recommended that the troops be divided into two ways, light ships against light ships, and bombing ships will give priority to breaking the frigate group marked in the picture below.
After the battle, the captain gave a speech, but we still stepped into the enemy's trap.
Mission 4: Kara Terminal
As soon as he left the stargate, he ran into a trap prepared by the enemy, and the mothership received many damage.
After settling down, he carefully analyzed it and found that the data of the stargate had been tampered with by the enemy.
Now we are in the heart of the enemy, completely isolated.
In desperation, I had to go to the marking point first to rest for a while.
Units in the nebula are basically difficult to detect by the enemy, so you can take a breath of relief.
Note: In fact, it is very difficult for the sensor to penetrate the nebula, and the actual mode of action is only "undetected by the sensor" and "the hit rate is reduced".
Use the newly unlocked "Support Frigate" to heal the mothership, which is considered a very important support unit in the early and mid stages, and its main role is to restore the health of nearby units.
It is recommended that squads with more than 10 units have one to increase their survival rate.
If the support ship is not assigned to the squad, use the "escort" command and surround the mothership.
This also facilitates operations around the mothership.
After passing through the nebula, the sensor detected resources in the wreckage below, and it is recommended to send units to collect resources as soon as possible.
In fact, the mothership can also be moved directly down, and then there will be a place where it needs to be.
Upon inspection, it was revealed that the battleship was one of the fleets that had been missing from the previous expedition.
After that, it is necessary to wait for the unit to return the wreckage to the mothership, so it is recommended that the mothership move to the vicinity of this point as soon as possible before then.
When the enemy appears after the start of salvage, basically stop the mothership near the wreckage and let the formations fight around the mothership.
Build as many support ships as possible, and you can also provide support to surrounding teams while orbiting the mothership.
Because of the low resources in this level, the main goal is to reduce the casualty rate as much as possible.
Collecting the wreckage unlocks two resource points, which can be collected as soon as possible to maintain the battle line.
Shortly after the wreckage was collected, the cutscene was triggered, and the large enemy fleet jumped directly to the area, and we were surrounded.
After the story, the new "Assault Frigate" is unlocked, which is a more powerful main combat unit (and of course it is also expensive).
After that, it's time to follow the instructions and call the fleet back while ensuring survival, and forcibly start the jump to escape from this place.
It should be noted that after initiating the jump, all unparked combat units will disappear and will not be added to the next campaign as usual.
After completing this level, she re-enters the plot and remembers the days she spent with her mentor.
