On May 17, 2024, a group of 19 volunteers from Dongwang Jinghong District, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, rode 7 kilometers to the Manlan Village Committee of Gasa Town, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, to carry out public welfare activities such as haircuts, massages, and cleaning up village roads for community residents.
As soon as the volunteers arrived at their destination, they first hung up the red banners and prepared all the stools, whetstones, benches, haircutting tools, etc., and soon residents came to ask for services. They were divided into two groups, one group sharpened knives, massaged, haircuts, and popularized some health care and good life knowledge to everyone.
A group cooperated with the community secretary to clean up the surrounding area of the community, some picked up white garbage, some pulled weeds, some used hoes, some used shovels, they did things carefully and carefully, and did not let go of any corner. Through their hard work, they finally cleared the weeds, garbage, and fallen leaves on both sides of the road.
By carrying out convenient service activities, it not only provides practical help for residents, but also further promotes the spirit of volunteer service, endless service, and selfless dedication to the masses. Volunteers said that as long as there is a need, they will do their best to serve the society, make the community more harmonious and beautiful, make learning from Lei Feng do good deeds normal, and contribute to the promotion of Lei Feng's spirit.
