Notice on strengthening the supervision and management of noise during the 2024 middle and high school entrance examinations
In order to prevent and reduce noise pollution and ensure the learning, examination and rest environment of candidates, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations on noise pollution prevention and control, the noise management matters within the city during the 2024 college entrance examination period (May 31 to June 10) and the high school entrance examination period (June 15 to June 23) are hereby notified as follows:
1. It is strictly forbidden to disturb the people with construction noise. In addition to emergency repairs and emergency construction, which must be reported to the competent department of the industry and publicized to the public, construction units such as transportation, municipal, water conservancy, and housing construction will stop night construction from 19 o'clock to 7 o'clock the next day. At the construction site within 150 meters of the middle and high school schools, high-noise operations such as piling, concrete construction, and chainsaws are stopped around the clock. Relevant units are requested to prepare in advance and arrange the construction reasonably.
2. It is strictly forbidden for for-profit cultural and entertainment venues to disturb the people with noise. The boundary noise shall not exceed the acoustic environment quality standard of the functional area. In areas with a high concentration of residents and near schools, business activities that generate noise will be suspended after 8 p.m. every day.
3. It is strictly forbidden to disturb the people with noise from commercial activities. It is forbidden to use loudspeakers or other loud noise to solicit customers around the clock.
4. Open-air entertainment, assemblies, fireworks and other high-noise activities that disturb the people are strictly prohibited.
5. It is strictly forbidden to disturb the people with loud noise from motor vehicles and boats (except for ambulance and rescue vehicles performing emergency tasks).
6. Units and individuals who violate this notice shall be dealt with in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations on noise pollution prevention and control.
7. If the general public finds that noise affects candidates' study, examination and rest during the college entrance examination, they can call the following complaint number:
If the time of the 2024 high school entrance examination changes, the implementation time of the above noise management measures will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
