1: Intermodulation distortion
I believe that the term intermodulation distortion will be seen on the amplifier. But in fact, the speaker also has intermodulation distortion. This distortion is a manifestation of amplitude nonlinearity. When the bass signal and the high frequency signal are loaded into the speaker at the same time, due to the nonlinearity of the driver unit, there will be high and low frequency and differential signals in its output sound pressure, which is intermodulation distortion. Moreover, there is a relationship between intermodulation distortion and nonlinear distortion, the smaller the nonlinear distortion, the smaller the intermodulation distortion, and vice versa. There is also the Doppler phenomenon, also known as "Doppler distortion", in which high frequencies are modulated. In contrast, the Doppler phenomenon is relatively mild and has little impact on the auditory perception, and a change in pitch can be heard.
2: Partial harmonic distortion
The nonlinearity of the amplitude also causes subharmonic distortion. The so-called sub-harmonic distortion is that when the sine wave signal is loaded into the driver unit, a fuzzy signal with a frequency of 1/2 or 1/3 of the signal frequency will be generated in the medium frequency and low frequency band, the main reason is that the front and back movements of the voice coil and the diaphragm are not synchronized, and the diaphragm lags slightly behind the voice coil and produces deformation, so if the diaphragm is not hard enough and the material is not uniform enough, the sub-harmonic distortion will also be easy to occur.

3: High-power harmonic distortion
