A few days ago, Zhidian Travel obtained a set of road test spy photos of the new Elroq model of the Skoda brand of the Volkswagen Group, which is positioned as a compact pure electric SUV and can also be regarded as the successor model of the Skoda electric version of the Korrok, and it is confirmed that it will be launched in the second half of this year. At the same time, the new car is also expected to start production in the Chinese market this year, and will go on sale at the end of this year or early next year at the earliest, with major competitors in the same class including BYD Song PLUS, Geely Galaxy L7, Volkswagen ID.4 and other models.
On the outside, the Skoda Elroq gets a large closed grille at the front and a split LED headlight cluster. The C-pillar is designed in the style of a walk-back coupe, and a small spoiler is added above the tailgate. According to overseas media, the overall length of its body will also reach 4.5 meters.
The Skoda Elroq is based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform and is expected to be equipped with a 62 kWh battery pack driven by a rear motor with a maximum output of 132 kW and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. At the same time, the new car is also expected to launch dual-motor four-wheel drive models for consumers to buy in the later stage.
