On May 15, the "Foreign Economic and Trade Institutions Look at Shanghai - Into Yangpu" activity and the inaugural meeting of Yangpu District Digital Trade Development Service Center (Enterprise Overseas Development Service Center) were held in Yangpu Binjiang People's Urban Construction Planning Exhibition Hall.
At the meeting, the Yangpu District Digital Trade Development Service Center (Enterprise Overseas Development Service Center) was unveiled, aiming to promote in-depth exchanges between foreign economic and trade institutions and Yangpu enterprises, continuously optimize the business environment in the region, support the development of digital trade, and help enterprises grasp new opportunities in global trade.
It is reported that the Yangpu District Digital Trade Development Service Center (Enterprise Overseas Development Service Center) will provide enterprises with a series of professional services including business consulting, investment promotion, financial support, intellectual property protection, legal services and cross-border data transactions, to help Yangpu enterprises solve various problems and challenges encountered in the international market, and become an important support for Yangpu enterprises to enter the international market.
There are more than 7,000 enterprises related to the digital economy in Yangpu, and the revenue of the software and information service industry will reach 260 billion yuan in 2023, accounting for more than 40% of the total revenue of enterprises in the district and accounting for about 1/6 of the city. At a new historical starting point, it is inevitable for Yangpu enterprises to "go global" and implement trade digitalization and develop digital trade.
At present, Yangpu is actively participating in the construction of the Shanghai "Silk Road E-commerce" International Cooperation Pilot Zone and the Shanghai DEPA Cooperation Zone, actively giving full play to the agglomeration advantages and enabling role in digital technology, data elements and digital platforms, injecting vitality into cross-border trade with a solid digital industry foundation, and striving to build a digital trade ecosystem "International Digital Intelligence Future Valley", creating a new channel for cross-border e-commerce transactions, a new platform for digital trade services, a new hub for the flow of scientific research data, and a new highland for digital culture to go to sea. Win new tracks and cultivate new momentum.
This event not only provided an opportunity for Yangpu enterprises to connect with the international market, but also built a bridge for foreign economic and trade institutions to understand and invest in Yangpu. Representatives of foreign economic and trade institutions from the United States, France, Serbia, South Korea, Japan, Finland, Chile, Spain and other countries had face-to-face exchanges and communication with Yangpu enterprises in many fields such as commerce and investment, seeking cooperation opportunities and providing valuable international cooperation resources for Yangpu enterprises. The participants said that with the official establishment of the Yangpu District Digital Trade Development Service Center (Enterprise Overseas Development Service Center), it will further broaden the road for Yangpu enterprises to go overseas and further enhance the internationalization level of Yangpu enterprises; It is hoped that by strengthening cooperation with Yangpu District, we will jointly explore more mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation models and promote the in-depth development of trade and investment between the two sides.
As institutions with trade and investment promotion activities as their main functions, the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Shanghai Chamber of International Commerce are committed to building a multi-level trade and investment cooperation network and promoting trade and investment liberalization and facilitation with the purpose of "connecting the government, representing industry and commerce, and serving enterprises". At present, the Shanghai Chamber of International Commerce has more than 1,000 member companies of various types, and has established friendly and cooperative relations with 163 chambers of commerce and economic and trade organizations around the world. In recent years, the Shanghai Chamber of International Commerce has set up four overseas representative offices, including the United Arab Emirates, Djibouti, Thailand and Malaysia, to escort enterprises to invest overseas.
The event is the third stop of the 2024 Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Shanghai Chamber of International Commerce to actively promote the docking of Sino-foreign trade and investment resources and serve the theme of investment promotion in various districts.
