Activision has announced the launch of a new in-house game development studio, Elsewhere Entertainment, headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, to create a new series of games for the Xbox brand.
Elsewhere Entertainment's team members come from the industry's top game development companies, bringing together "storytellers" from Naughty Dog, CD Projekt Red, Bungie, and Ubisoft who have worked on well-known games such as The Last of Us, Uncharted, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny, The Division, and Far Cry.
Activision mentioned in its official blog that Elsewhere Entertainment is committed to developing a new series of triple-A games that will define a whole new genre with storytelling at its core. The company emphasizes that Elsewhere's purpose is to encourage team members to explore and innovate together, with the goal of creating a series of game brands with far-reaching impact that will be worth more than the game itself.
