On May 17, the reporter of Jingshi Live contacted Shangjiaduobao (China) Beverage Co., Ltd. According to the customer service staff, the substance may be a precipitate. "We have received similar complaints before, and we will feed back the situation to the quality department, and the specific reasons need to be tested by the quality inspection department."

The reporter searched and found that the media had also reported many cases of JDB drinking foreign bodies.

On February 25, 2013, a netizen in Zhengzhou, Henan Province posted a video saying that Jia Duobao drank a catkins-like substance, and when he poured the drink out, the sticky thing hung on the mouth of the beverage can. In this regard, JDB staff said that the product will inevitably have problems because of bumps during transportation.

On July 22, 2013, Mr. Zhang from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was having dinner at the hotel when he opened a can of JDB and poured it into a cup to drink, but he did not expect to see a mass of cotton. JDB staff said that it may be that the jar is leaking, and the sugar in the herbal tea is formed after contact with the air, not a quality problem.

On July 24, 2013, Mr. Zhang, a citizen of Beijing, said that when he was drinking JDB herbal tea, he actually drank an unidentified brown substance. JDB's business personnel said that the foreign body was caused by air leakage and sugar condensation during transportation, and there was no harm to the human body.

According to Guangming.com, experts analyzed that the problems of JDB herbal tea may be caused by three reasons.

First of all, the problem of formula, herbal tea is different from ordinary drinks, it is processed by a variety of Chinese herbs and a small amount of sugar, when the formula ratio is inappropriate, it may produce sediment.

Secondly, there are loopholes in the production and processing process, and foreign substances may also be generated. During the processing process, herbal tea needs to go through multiple processes such as sterilization, sealing, and packaging, and in this process, foreign contaminants may be brought into production due to unstable processes and other reasons.

In addition, it may also be caused by improper storage and transportation. When the herbal tea is frozen or refrigerated, the solubility may be reduced, which may lead to the appearance of foreign bodies, or during transportation, collisions occur, and the possibility of foreign substances in herbal teas is also possible.
