Xue Lingxian's career has encountered an unprecedented trough. At this critical moment, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out, and the Japanese army occupied North China, and her life with her husband Yan Zhixi also fell into difficulties.

Her death quickly became the focus of attention of the Shanghai news media that year, triggering extensive discussions from all walks of life. After learning the news of the death of his beloved wife, Xue Lingxian's husband Yan Zhixi suffered a huge blow in his heart and was in pain.
They used to be a sweet couple in the art field, but in the face of the burdens of life, they gradually distanced themselves from each other, and finally were ruthlessly separated by fate.
When it comes to the cause of Xue Lingxian's death, there is a widely circulated opinion that she was unable to withstand severe lung disease because she was addicted to drugs for a long time and could not receive adequate medical protection, and eventually passed away.
