The "Granary Theater", located in Luohang Community, Danzao Town, is the studio of Peng Yu, the "cultural correspondent" of Nanhai and the director of Peng Yu Contemporary Dance Company.
From May 1st to 5th, the "Wu Dance" International Dance Festival, which was planned and starred by the dance troupe, has staged a number of performances and aroused warm praise from the masses and tourists. In order to continue this popularity, on May 24, the theater will welcome back to perform the installation dance "xixu".

In recent years, Peng Yu Contemporary Dance Company has taken creative dance and installation dance as its development direction, integrating contemporary art elements such as public space art and environmental theater, and is committed to cultivating diversified dancers. In February 2024, the company will move to Luoxingwei, Danzao Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, and turn an old granary into an art space, named "Granary Theater", which will be combined with the architectural space for environmental choreography and dance video shooting, bringing a diverse artistic experience to the audience.

In terms of the use of props, the installation dance "xixu" combines bamboo weaving, cloth, fishing nets and other commonly used tools in daily life in Luo Xingwei as creative materials, and after combining these devices with dance, it produces wonderful energy. The dance expresses the feelings and expectations for China's century-old ancient polder, and also shows the dancers' thoughts and feelings about the creative space.

It used to be one of the three major polder cities in Guangdong.
Luohang bamboo weaving is also one of the main handicraft industries in Foshan that was once famous with Xiqiao silk reeling and Shiwan ceramics.
It once prospered due to the development of bamboo weaving, but also fell silent due to the decline of bamboo weaving.

Now Luoxingwei has "the world's largest bamboo basket", 3D graffiti, nostalgic street scenes, as well as bamboo weaving culture exhibition hall, Juxin teahouse exhibition hall, village history museum, and landmark buildings such as bamboo weaving inheritance base and Shangyi Park, which has become one of the cultural landmarks and characteristic cultural tourist attractions in Danzao and even the South China Sea.
