Before the official arrival of summer, DECO flew to Shenzhen.
While feeling the sunshine of Shenzhen,
I also felt the little monkey's enthusiasm for life.
Wang Xiaohou, an outdoor, travel, and outfit blogger, is an energetic Aries. I worked in Hong Kong for a while, but I didn't want to be bound by rules and regulations forever, so I returned to Shenzhen and lived a chic life of "two people, one dog and one cat" with my husband, embracing the outdoors and life, completely letting go of myself, and only doing what I love.
Doudou, the head of Likelihood Ideal Country Design, was influenced by Plato's philosophy when he made his debut eight years ago, and gave the studio this rather utopian name. In her view, spatial design is an ordinary art, and only by giving up short-term pleasure can we seek inner satisfaction.
The designer set the tone for this home with "interesting geometric shapes", the dismantling and recombination of scattered structures and geometric shapes, and the retro and nostalgic wood tones and rich colors make the space present the effect of multi-style integration.
This "hodgepodge" is Wang Xiaohou and her designer Soybean Bean together, because there are too many elements they like, the two are always greedy to "add a little, add a little more", so unconsciously integrate all the favorite styles, but the visual effect is surprisingly unified, walking around the whole space, not only does not have a sense of disobedience, but also makes people strongly aware that home is like its own person, this is the house engraved with Wang Xiaohou's name, containing her own life.
The acquaintance of the two girls began with the decoration of a house on the little monkey, when the little monkey found Doudou from social networks, and after coming and going, they found that they not only talked to each other very well, but also had a close aesthetic tendency, so they became good friends outside the decoration. Although one is in Shenzhen and the other is in Chengdu, the two often share beautiful houses, beautiful things, and good ideas with each other.
In order to maintain the sense of transparency of the space, the custom cabinet is designed in a hollow form, which is both a storage and a partition. The sofa area in the living room is the best place to let in the whole home, with a lot of "master" furniture pieces, such as the purple armchair from Cassina and the single sofa for the dog from Finn Juhl's Japan Sofa.
In the corner of the living room, on the side table is the Shogun lamp designed by the Swiss architect Mario Botta for Artemide.
Since the purchase of this 220-square-meter high-ceilinged new house in the center of Shenzhen, the little monkey locked the schedule of Doudou for the first time, and even confiscated the house, and the two began to plan excitedly and start their infinite imagination of this home. "The ceiling height of the house is close to 6 meters, and the structure is square, like an empty box," the two girls are still excited, recalling the initial state of the house, "so there is a lot of room for us to play and 'build blocks' in it." "Since there are only two people living in the permanent family, the house is left blank a lot, and only a corridor runs through the master bedroom area, the study and two guest rooms on the second floor.
The corridor is Doudou's "shooting corner" for the little monkey, where she often takes photos of her outfits.
Rather than having a larger usable area, the monkey wants its home to be transparent, with bright light and an open and interesting structure, so that it does not feel oppressive at all.

When initially setting the tone for the home, Little Monkey put forward two core needs: one is color, and the other is storage. She is lively by nature, and hopes that her home will be the same as herself, which is colorful and vibrant. At the same time, as a blogger, she has a lot of clothes, accessories and outdoor sports utensils to store, and needs a lot of cabinets to "hide" them. This has extremely high requirements for customized furniture, and the cabinet should be skillfully interspersed in the space, not only responsible for storage, but also play the role of separating functional areas; The finish should have a sense of quality and be able to accurately match a variety of colors.

The storage cabinet presents a variety of rectangular shapes, with a combination of open and closed, with a strong sense of rhythm.
Because he knew the needs and preferences of the little monkey too well, Doudou only took more than a month to complete the design plan, but how to restore the design became a problem. Shenzhen could not find a suitable custom furniture manufacturer, so they boldly chose the "off-site" customization, Doudou in Chengdu for the little monkey to choose a niche supplier, the boss himself also has a lot of research on the antique style, willing to work with the designer to challenge the complex process and modeling.
In Doudou's design, the custom furniture uses 10 colors, each with seven or eight subtle approximation options, each with at least five proofs...... In order to bring out the perfect color, Doudou almost "drove himself crazy and drove the manufacturer", often had to go to the custom studio or factory to stare at the color in person, and sometimes had to pull the deepening designer in the middle of the night to put forward requirements, but fortunately, with the joint efforts of everyone, the final effect was perfect, supporting the most important part of the home.
As a fashion blogger, Little Monkey has a lot of daily sundries, in addition to storing them in custom cabinets, she will also arrange some personalized and designed cabinets for small things. The yellow storage cabinet is from the B-line and the MALLE SOUVENIRS trunk is from the Louis Vuitton trunk collection.
After solving the problem of custom-made furniture, the basic structure of the space is formed, and all that remains is how to fill it with furniture and decorations to put the finishing touch. "Doudou sent me a long PDF list, opened it and looked, and it was over! I like everything so much, I want to buy it! "But they were all expensive, and I could only buy one or two pieces a month."
During that time, I was very motivated to work, and every time I shot a film, I thought: this is for the chair, and it is for the side table. After months of accumulation, Little Monkey finally bought all the items he wanted before moving into his new home.
The dining area is also the "centerpiece" of design pieces, with a dining table by Herman Miller and four different chairs, all in a shade of blue, a standard chair by Vitra and a blue belt chair by Atelier Oï from Louis Vuitton's Objets Nomades travel home collection. The chandelier hanging above the dining table is Flos' Skygarden garden lamp.
The island is another social hub outside the sofa area, where each piece of kitchenware has been carefully selected in a colour palette that perfectly matches the kitchen.
