Teaching Competition: Sharpening Young Teachers Show Their Style, and the "All-English Lecture Competition" for Young Nursing Teachers of the 920th Hospital came to a successful conclusion
On the occasion of the warm spring breeze and the gathering of talents, in order to accelerate the elite cultivation of the nursing education team, stimulate the innovation power in the field of nursing teaching, and ignite the educational enthusiasm of young teachers, on May 15, a theme of "inheriting excellence to help grow and create the future together" The English lecture competition of young nursing teachers was successfully concluded in 920 Hospital. More than 100 nursing colleagues and students attended the event to share this feast of knowledge and wisdom.
The competition invited Professor Li Jun from the Department of Orthopedics of the hospital, Yu Tianyan, a senior nursing expert from the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, and Professor Dong Junjie, an authority from the Department of Orthopedics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, to form an authoritative judging panel.
At the event site, the young teachers showed their strengths, and the art of teaching bloomed. Zhang Jing's lecture "Death Education in Palliative Care" from the Department of General Medicine cleverly integrated the OBE teaching concept to deepen students' understanding of the concept of life and death through interactive discussion and role interpretation. Luo Yi's lecture "STEMI: Rapid Identification and Care Strategies" in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine made complex concepts easy to understand with vivid cases and accurate analysis. Zhou Sisi from the Orthopedic Joint Surgery Ward gave a lecture entitled "Nursing of Osteoporosis", with mind maps leading knowledge exploration, which is both systematic and practical; Wang Yuyao of the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Ward took "Severe Obesity" as the starting point, and the video case was fascinating and deeply analyzed the mystery of the disease; In "Nursing of Nausea and Vomiting Caused by Chemotherapy", Shi Fei of the Department of Oncology scientifically explained the essence of nursing intervention through detailed case analysis, which won full applause.
In the comment session, Professor Dong Junjie highly praised the contestants' all-English teaching strength, and emphasized that the art of education lies in the grasp of details and the support of evidence. Professor Li Jun commented in English, starting from an international perspective, encouraging young teachers to continuously improve their English teaching ability and contribute to the globalization of nursing education. Professor Cai Wenke made a concluding speech in fluent English, praising the competition as an ode to the professionalism and humanistic feelings of nursing, and hoped that more nursing teachers would dare to show themselves and write a new chapter in nursing education through such platforms.
This all-English lecture competition is not only a concentrated display of young nursing talents, but also marks a solid step in the process of promoting the quality and internationalization of nursing education.
