The Internet Judicial Research Society of the Shanghai Law Society adheres to the fundamental guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply practices Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, strives to build a platform for all-factor collective discussions, enhances research power, cohesion and influence, and strives to become a "pioneer" and "leader" in the improvement of the Internet space governance system and governance capacity, forming a good situation in which theory and practice empower each other, and constantly improving Internet litigation rules and driving the transformation and upgrading of judicial models. It has actively explored and promoted the rule of law in cyberspace governance, and has accumulated rich experience. As the first research group under the Shanghai Law Society, the Internet Judicial Research Society currently has a total of 73 members, with Mi Zhenrong, a full-time member of the Adjudication Committee of the Shanghai High People's Court, as its chairman, and 4 vice presidents, 1 secretary general, and 2 deputy secretaries-general.
Over the past year, the Internet Judicial Research Society has taken the strategy of cyber power and the digital transformation of cities as an opportunity to focus on establishing and improving Internet litigation rules and Internet space governance rules, and actively respond to the needs of the digital era and the concerns of the people.

Mi Zhenrong, president of the Internet Judicial Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society and full-time member of the Adjudication Committee of the Municipal High Court, briefed the white paper on its background significance and main contents. After the press conference, the Municipal High Court held a briefing and exchange meeting on administrative litigation in Shanghai courts. In order to help the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center, accurately serve the high-quality development of the aviation industry, and improve the efficiency of the resolution of aviation-related disputes, on the afternoon of April 21, 2023, the Changning Court held a seminar on "Centralized Trial of Aviation-related Dispute Cases". More than 20 representatives from the Aviation Law Research Society of China Law Society, the Internet Judicial Research Society of Shanghai Law Society, China Air Transport Association, Civil Aviation East China Regional Administration, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), Shanghai Law Society Aviation Law Research Association, China Eastern Airlines Group, China Southern Airlines Group, Spring Airlines and related administrative agencies, enterprises and institutions attended the meeting. At the meeting, Chen Yuqi, a member of the Internet Judicial Research Association of Shanghai Law Society and president of the Civil Trial Division of Changning Court, introduced the relevant situation of aviation dispute cases in Changning Court in recent years. Subsequently, the participants exchanged views on the scope of cases for centralized trial of aviation-related disputes, the construction of multiple linkage dispute resolution models, the improvement of the efficiency of aviation dispute resolution, and the construction of new and difficult case linkage handling mechanisms.
On July 25, the Changning Court successively held a party group meeting and a plenary meeting of judges of the whole court to conscientiously convey the spirit of the "digital court" construction promotion meeting and put forward opinions on implementation. On the afternoon of December 12, the Changning Court held a press conference on "Interpreting the Law with Cases and Telling the Story of the Civil Code of China" on Typical Civil Cases Involving the Civil Code. Some members of the Internet Judicial Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society attended the meeting. Chen Yuqi, a member of the Internet Judicial Research Association and president of the Civil Trial Division, released 10 typical civil cases involving the Civil Code of China on "Interpreting the Law with Cases and Telling the Story of the Civil Code of China", and gave a detailed interpretation of the basic facts, adjudication ideas, and promotion values of the typical cases. The 10 typical cases released this time focus on the value standards contained in the "core socialist values", based on the construction of free, equal, honest and friendly social relations, and refine and form case interpretations and behavioral guidelines, so as to give full play to the role of judicial adjudication in conveying the correct value orientation to the society.
