In this beautiful season, the 2023 junior high school of Jinling Middle School Group and People's Middle School launched an English song contest with the theme of "You Are My Sunshine", singing the strongest voice of youth.
The English Song Contest is divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final round, the preliminary round is held in each classroom, and the finalists are selected through two links: student voting and teacher recommendation. On the afternoon of May 13, 2024, in the school's 3509 lecture hall, the finals were officially ignited by 9 groups of outstanding contestants!
The judges of this final include the school's large-scale activities organized and planned, the deputy director of the school office, Mr. Jiang Ying, the outstanding young teacher of Xuanwu District and the head of the junior high school English teaching and research team, Mr. Wang Dan, who has led students to win awards in the city and district singing competitions for many times, Mr. Chen Yi, the director of the school choir, and the four class teachers of the first grade of junior high school. The competition was presided over by Wang Jingyi of the first (1) class of junior high school and Song Weichen of the first (4th) class of junior high school.
The event opened with the chorus "You Are My Sunshine", and all the students instantly filled the atmosphere of the whole venue with neat and loud singing, harmonious and moving melodies and enthusiastic attitudes, as if bathed in a warm and cheerful musical sunshine.

Brother Pony: It was a special experience, and it was also a rare training for me. I didn't do much preparation, I listened to "A Million Dreams" all the time, but this was the first time I sang it in front of the whole grade. It's good that I'm not nervous about going on stage, after all, I've been on this stage several times, hahaha......

Because it's a song, you should pay attention to the continuous reading of some words when singing. In addition, it is necessary to listen to more English songs and sharpen your ears regularly.

Little Pony: There will be disappointments in failure, but I am never disappointed. Moreover, my classmates would not laugh at me.
