The last century was actually a very turbulent period for many people, when the international community was in a grim situation and relations between countries were very tense.
At the end of the fifties of the last century, the Soviet Union developed the first intercontinental missile, and it is precisely because of this that countries are worried that they will become "victims" and be threatened by nuclear weapons, and they have begun to continuously strengthen their own defense and early warning systems.
At that time, the United States was the first to develop advanced land-based missiles, and our country, at this time, was in great need of long-range early warning radars, after all, we still had to ensure our own security.
Coupled with the deterioration of relations between us and the Soviet Union at that time, R&D and innovation were urgent, especially since the Soviet Union deployed a large number of troops in the northern part of our country, and even threatened our country to use nuclear weapons against us.
In this context, our country also began to develop its own missile defense system, so the 640 project began, in this project, there is a very famous achievement, that is, the phased array radar 7010, covering an area of about 3000 kilometers.
In the 70s of the last century, the construction was completed, which can track multiple high-altitude flying targets at the same time, and compared with traditional radars, the 7010 has a longer jamming effect, and the overall performance is higher and more reliable.
Once the largest phased array radar in Asia, the 7010 has now been decommissioned and protected our country for 20 years before it was decommissioned.
Here, we need to know that the 7010 early warning radar was built deep in the mountains, although the conditions were very difficult in the process of research and development at that time, but our scientific researchers still gritted their teeth and overcame many difficulties.
In the process of service, 7010 has made great contributions to our country, one of which was in the seventies of the last century, when it accurately predicted the fall of the American sky space station, which was less than five minutes away from the time predicted by the United States.
Not only that, but it also recorded the fall of the Soviet Union in the Pacific at that time, which caused a lot of repercussions at the time, after all, the incident was somewhat appalling anyway.
In addition, the design used in the 7010 is a single-sided array, it is reported that in order to lift it, hundreds of trains were used to transport its accessories, although its monitoring range is not as large as that of the United States and Russia, but in the era at that time, it did help our country.
For example, the Soviet Union, which we talked about earlier, however, now that the 7010 has been decommissioned, a huge pedestal has been left, and new early warning radars have been slowly born, and the technology used is more developed.

After talking about our country, let's take a look at the early warning radars of the United States and Russia, what are the advantages?

We bring the time to the Cold War period, when the United States and the Soviet Union were still constantly confronting, and the Soviet Union developed the Voronezh radar, which is well-known in the world, and the United States naturally refused to lag behind, so it also developed and built a number of large-scale early warning radars.
Unlike the radars studied by the Soviet Union, the radars built by the United States are trapezoidal and use phase array antennas, and the names of these radars are familiar to everyone, called paving claws.
The peak strategy of this radar can reach 582 kilowatts per hour, and the power consumption can also reach 600 kilowatts per hour.
And one of them is in our Taiwan region, but the interesting thing is that because the amount of maintenance consumption is larger, so this radar has been changed to a civilian one, and it will rarely be turned on, and this model of radar, the early warning range can reach 4800 kilometers.
However, over time, the radar technology has become outdated, so in 2003, the pave claw was discontinued, leaving only one as a backup.
Looking at Russia's early warning radar, in fact, from the title of the article, we can see that their early warning radar can monitor a range of 6,000 kilometers, which means that they can monitor almost the whole of Europe.
And this early warning radar is the Voronezh radar we mentioned earlier, at that time, this radar could be called the strongest in the world, and at the same time, the size of this radar was also quite large.
Therefore, in the process of operation, a lot of resources need to be invested, and the ordinary power grid cannot meet it, so it can only be built next to the nuclear power plant, and there are tens of thousands of transmitting antennas on this radar.
The technology used was the most advanced technology in the era at that time, it played a huge role in the process of the Cold War, and from the Voronezh radar, we can also feel how strong the Soviet Union was back then.
However, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Voronezh radar was taken over by Ukraine, but because the technology was not strong enough, it slowly declined, until later Russia developed the stronger Voronezh-DM radar.
In fact, no matter which country it is, in the process of development, there will be a glorious stage, but it is very difficult to protect the glory, of course, in the process of development, as long as you find a path suitable for your own development, there is no problem.
