Just last month, the QS subject rankings were updated, and Huangyi officially achieved the achievement of "ranking first in the world in art and design for ten consecutive years".

Lindner has joined Huangyi successively, as well as two new department chairs:
Kamini Vellodi from the School of Art (ECA) at the University of Edinburgh is the Head of the Department of Painting, focusing on the integration of painting and new technologies in cross-Chinese contexts, with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary study of art and philosophy.
Animation researcher Samantha Moore is the head of the Department of Animation, where she is committed to the integration of animation and technology, and strives to apply animation to the fields of installation art, AR/VR, medical imaging, and data visualization.
These three new faculty members of Huangyi have made outstanding contributions in the field of "interdisciplinarity", which is also consistent with the statement in the "2022-2027 Five-Year Plan" released by Huangyi in 2022.
In the "First Five-Year Plan", Huangyi put forward three main goals, to achieve breakthroughs in "research and social challenges", "teaching excellence and student experience", and "school-enterprise cooperation and innovation" by 2027:
Among the three goals, the expansion plan of Goal 2 attracted the attention of most people that year.
The social issues and challenges that people are facing in Goal 1, including urban life, climate crisis, aging, artificial intelligence, etc., which require interdisciplinary cooperation to solve, are the topics that Huangyi will focus on in the future.
The "recruitment" of interdisciplinary talents is undoubtedly one of the measures made to accomplish the goals at this level.
However, "Huangyi attaches importance to interdisciplinarity" does not mean that "it is easy to apply for Huangyi interdisciplinary", after all, many students from academic classes will also lose in the application for Huangyi.
