May 15 is the National Day for the Disabled, in order to enhance the attention and support of residents in the jurisdiction to the disabled, advocate the community atmosphere of helping the disabled, and carry out a heart-warming action to help the disabled during the National Day for the Disabled.
In this heart-warming action for the disabled, the community grid members went deep into the families of the disabled, helped the families of the disabled clean their houses, improved the living environment, and carried out heart-to-heart conversations with the families of the disabled, understood the needs of the families, resolved the emotions of the families, carried out psychological counseling, and gave the family caregivers a short physical and psychological break. This event not only provides them with simple cleaning services, but also brings emotional support and understanding to their family members, and expresses social recognition for their efforts.
Heart-to-heart conversations with persons with disabilities and their families are of great significance to the work of community disability assistance, which can not only gain a deeper understanding of the life experiences, challenges and needs of persons with disabilities, but also serve as an effective way to dispel the misunderstandings and negative emotions of persons with disabilities, break the stereotypes of persons with disabilities, recognize their own diversity and potential, encourage them to participate in community activities, and live an active life with an optimistic attitude. At the same time, through heart-to-heart talks, the community can provide more targeted services in the future and continuously optimize the way the community works.
Through this activity, we hope to further understand the real needs and practical difficulties of people with disabilities, provide them with more help and support, and also hope to promote the healthy development of the cause of people with disabilities in the community and create a more inclusive and friendly community environment.
