Qilu.com Lightning News, May 16th The four-day 13th "Chiyou Jiulicheng Cup" China Powerboat League Chongqing Pengshui Competition and the 2024 China Paddleboard Open Chongqing Pengshui Competition opened on the 15th in the waters of Pengshui Wujiang River, the event was jointly organized by the Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sports of the People's Republic of China, the Chongqing Sports Bureau and the People's Government of Pengshui Miao Tujia Autonomous County.
The 13th "Chiyou Jiulicheng Cup" China Powerboat League Chongqing Pengshui Competition and the 2024 China Paddleboard Open Chongqing Pengshui Competition are themed "Peng" power and "water" passion, with a total of 29 motorboat teams and 23 dragon board teams with more than 400 people participating. In terms of competition content, the Chongqing Pengshui Competition of the China Powerboat League has set up six major competitions: seated jet ski open (RO) racing, standing jet ski open (JO) racing, seated jet ski limited level 3 (RL3) racing, women's seated jet ski restricted level 3 (RL3) racing, water trapeze figure race, and "love boat good" double seated jet ski (RS3) leisure race.
At the same time, the China Paddleboard Open, which once again appeared on the Wujiang River, has a richer competition this year, covering not only the open group, the master group (U55), the Kahuna group (U65), the university group, and the youth group (U18, U15, U12, U9), but also a new four-person team dragon board event.
It is worth mentioning that in terms of mass interaction, in addition to the "Love Boat Good" two-person seated jet ski leisure race, the organizing committee will also hold power surfboard exhibition competition, "water trapeze" night performance show, power surfboard, electric go-kart and other project experience activities.
Pengshui Autonomous County, located in the southeast of Chongqing, is the ethnic minority autonomous county with the largest Miao population in the country, and is known as the "Miao Township of the World". Pengshui sits on two rivers and has the natural water conditions to hold national water sports competitions. Relying on the "three characteristics" of ecology, ethnicity and culture, Pengshui has consecutively held 13 sessions of the China Wujiang Miao Stepping on Huashan Festival and the China Pengshui Water Sports Competition, forming a good situation of integrated development of cultural tourism, sports tourism, agricultural tourism and business tourism through national-level events.
