Summer grain is the first season of annual grain production, accounting for more than 20% of the annual grain, and more than 90% of the summer grain is wheat. The State Food and Material Reserves Administration said today (15th) that the production situation of summer grain in the mainland is relatively good, and it is expected that the purchase of summer grain will increase year-on-year.
The southwest wheat area includes Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan four provinces and cities, is the earliest mature area of winter wheat in the mainland, at present, the southwest region harvest more than half, the northern winter wheat is filling, there is nearly half a month from the large-scale harvest. According to reports, the area of the 11 main wheat-producing provinces this year has increased steadily, and the overall growth of wheat is better than normal and better than that of the previous year.
Tang Cheng, deputy director of the Grain Reserve Department of the State Food and Material Reserves Administration: It is initially estimated that the purchase volume of this year's summer grain season will be about 70 million tons, a slight increase from last year, including about 63 million tons of wheat. It is expected that the opening price of wheat is higher than the minimum purchase price level, and it is unlikely that a large-scale purchase will be launched.
Tang Cheng said that the summer grain purchase will focus on key areas, key varieties, and key periods, carefully organize market-oriented purchases, and guide all localities to continue to strengthen the guarantee of warehouse capacity, capital, transportation capacity and other factors, and at the same time innovate and optimize five purchase services such as on-site, consultation, appointment, information, and postpartum, and explore and promote grain reservation purchases, so that grain farmers can run less errands, queue less, and sell grain quickly.

The purchase warehouse capacity is sufficient, the purchase funds are in place, the logistics and transportation are smooth, the market order is good, and the preparations for the purchase of summer grain are basically ready.
