May 13-19 is the 34th National Energy Conservation Publicity Week, with the theme of "Green Transformation, Energy Conservation". A few days ago, Dongcheng District held the launching ceremony of the 2024 Energy Conservation Publicity Week, and carried out energy conservation and carbon reduction publicity activities in a combination of online and offline methods, widely disseminated the concept of energy conservation and carbon reduction, and comprehensively improved the awareness of energy conservation and carbon reduction. During the Energy Conservation Publicity Week, Dongcheng District will hold a variety of theme activities, actively cultivate green and low-carbon production and lifestyle, and vigorously promote the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
At the launching ceremony, Dongcheng District issued the "Proposal", calling on everyone to join hands to devote themselves to the great cause of energy conservation and carbon reduction with a new attitude, full of enthusiasm, determination to transform, and courage to tackle tough problems, accelerate the promotion of green and low-carbon production and lifestyle as a new fashion, effectively promote the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of regional economic and social development, and ensure the completion of the "14th Five-Year Plan" dual control of energy consumption and carbon peak phased goals, and make greater contributions to the construction of a green and livable Dongcheng. At the same time, the "Proposal" was released through various channels such as websites, Weibo, and WeChat public accounts, so that more people can participate in the action of energy conservation and carbon reduction.
After the launching ceremony, the Dongcheng District Development and Reform Commission organized industry experts to give a lecture on scientific and technological innovation to help energy conservation and carbon reduction, focusing on the latest building energy-saving standard requirements and low-carbon transformation technologies such as HVAC systems and lighting systems, solar energy, air energy and other renewable energy utilization technologies, carbon intelligent management and other technologies in schools, hospitals, data centers and other different scenarios, guiding enterprises and institutions in the jurisdiction to change their work ideas and expand the application scope of new technologies. Transform scientific and technological innovation into a new driving force for green and low-carbon development.
During the energy-saving publicity week, Dongcheng District will organize and carry out the National Low Carbon Day publicity activities around the theme of "green and low-carbon, beautiful China" for Guijie catering enterprises, combined with green performance evaluation work, experts will carry out the "double carbon" policy and detailed interpretation of carbon emission indicators in the evaluation index, further strengthen the awareness of energy conservation and low carbon in catering enterprises, and continuously increase the proportion of green enterprises in Dongcheng District. In addition, Dongcheng District will also organize activities such as energy conservation propaganda into the organs and communities, carry out energy conservation and carbon reduction knowledge preaching, strengthen energy conservation and carbon reduction awareness, publicize energy conservation and carbon reduction culture, organize code scanning and answering questions, exchange environmental protection bags and other energy-saving and carbon-reduction souvenirs, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of all sectors of society to participate in energy conservation and carbon reduction work, guide the formation of green and low-carbon production and lifestyle, promote green and low-carbon national action, and transform the green and low-carbon concept into the conscious action of the people in the whole district.
