It was decided to carry out the death penalty, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property. After Ma Cheng appealed, the Qinghai Provincial High People's Court upheld the original verdict and reported to the Supreme People's Court for approval in accordance with the law. After review, the Supreme People's Court found that the facts of Ma Cheng's main violations and crimes identified in the first-instance judgment and second-instance judgment were clear, the evidence was credible and sufficient, the conviction was accurate, and the sentence was appropriate. The trial proceedings were lawful. Ma Cheng's death sentence was approved in accordance with the law. Before the execution of the death sentence, the Hainan Prefecture Intermediate People's Court arranged for Ma Cheng to meet with his close relatives to fully protect the lawful rights and interests of the convicts being executed.
