A few years later, Wang Lianshou grew into a big girl, and when she reached the age of marriage, Wang Lianshou's brother married Wang Lianshou to a local errand surnamed Wang in order to let her sister live a life without worrying about her livelihood.
Soon after marriage, Wang Lianshou gave birth to a daughter for her husband and became a "full-time wife", taking care of her in-laws and daughters at home who were still in infancy.
However, when Wang Lianshou watched her life get better day by day, her husband's sudden death made her lose her partner and her dependence, and she had to take care of her daughter and in-laws alone.
At that time, the biggest problem in front of Wang Lianshou was the loss of her husband, and her family lost its income and economic resources.
In order to solve the dilemma of income and economic resources, Wang Lianshou could only start to ask people everywhere to find things to do, and soon after, under the introduction of the people around her, she came to the palace of the alcohol king.
After Wang Lianshou came to the Alcohol Palace, she thought that she was doing some work as a maid and attendant, but after she entered the Alcohol Palace, she found out that she was going to do the work of a nurse and feed the newborn Pu Yi.
At that time, the alcohol palace was very demanding on Wang Lianshou, not only requiring her to live in the alcohol palace and take care of the newborn Pu Yi every step of the way, but also requiring Wang Lianshou to ensure that the milk was thick during breastfeeding, and could not eat anything with dipping seasoning, Wang Lianshou faced these harsh requirements, although she was dissatisfied, but in order to earn money to raise her daughter and in-laws, she still chose to endure it and stay in the alcohol palace to nurse the newborn Pu Yi, and this feeding was three years.
In 1908, the seriously ill Empress Dowager Cixi felt that her limit was approaching, so she issued a decree to establish Pu Yi, the eldest son of Prince Zaifeng, as the emperor, and the 3-year-old Pu Yi entered the palace under the arms of the "nurse" Wang Lianshou, starting Pu Yi's "career" as the last emperor.

After Pu Yi heard this, he replied embarrassedly: I just want to see what it looks like when he eats a pastry with iron sand?
When Wang Lianshou heard Pu Yi say this, he said to him with a solemn face: Don't you know that eating pastries with iron sand will break your teeth? After you break your teeth, you can't eat anymore, and you can't eat without eating!
Wang Lianshou's words were reasonable, so that after Pu Yi heard it, he lowered his head in shame, and told Wang Lianshou that he would not do this in the future.
On another occasion, Pu Yi played with an air gun and hit the window of the eunuch's residence, hitting many holes and holes in the window of the eunuch's residence.
The eunuchs were both angry and helpless, so they told Pu Yi's nurse Wang Lianshou about it, Wang Lianshou was very angry after learning about it, but she still calmed down and said bitterly to Pu Yi: Your Majesty, if you use an air gun to hit inside, it is easy to hurt people, everyone is a human being like you, they are all flesh and blood, and it will hurt if you are hit by lead bullet.
The nurse's words made Pu Yi realize the mistake of his behavior, and immediately admitted his mistake to the nurse, and after that, he began to restrain his bad behavior and no longer play pranks!
In the years that followed, under the tireless teaching of the nurse Wang Lianshou, Pu Yi gradually got rid of some bad problems and some bad habits, and began to behave in a proper manner!
At the same time, in this process, Pu Yi also respected and trusted the nurse Wang Lianshou more and more, and regarded her as a "loving mother".
However, the good times did not last long, when Pu Yi was 9 years old, the concubines in the palace saw that Pu Yi and the nurse Wang Lianshou were too close, and they were dissatisfied, so they resigned the nurse Wang Lianshou from the palace without Pu Yi's consent on the grounds that Pu Yi had reached the age of weaning.
The nurse Wang Lianshou was dismissed from the palace. Pu Yi cried a lot about this, shouting to call the nurse Wang Lianshou back, but how could the concubines in the palace listen to a child and ignore Pu Yi at all.

After Pu Yi saw her, he was very sad, and even if he ordered him to be raised in the palace and treat her well, so that he would no longer have to live that wandering life of being displaced and making his home all over the world.
Later, Feng Yuxiang staged a mutiny and drove Pu Yi, who had already abdicated, out of the palace, and Pu Yi took Wang Lianshou to live in Tianjin when he left the palace. After Pu Yi went to the three northeastern provinces and became the puppet emperor of Manchuria, Wang Lianshou was always taken by Pu Yi and treated him well, which made Wang Lianshou always live a worry-free life!
In 1945, after Japan declared defeat, Pu Yi saw that the general trend had gone, so he fled to Tonghua with his family and Wang Lianshou and his party, preparing to flee to Japan under the arrangement of the Japanese.
After the news of Wang Lianshou's unfortunate death from a bullet reached Pu Yi's ears, Pu Yi was heartbroken and sad, and Pu Yi in his later years in his memoirs "The First Half of My Life" focused on his lifelong attachment to his nursing mother, Wang Lianshou, in order to commemorate and miss her.
