On the occasion of the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, in order to effectively enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students in the park for disaster prevention and reduction, improve their self-protection and emergency response capabilities in natural disasters, and ensure the safety of teachers and students to the greatest extent, Renqiao Kindergarten in Hai'an High-tech Zone, Jiangsu Province carried out a series of disaster prevention and mitigation activities from May 11 to 14.
1. Convene a special meeting to arrange for the implementation of the deployment
Director Xu Yaqin organized all faculty and staff to carry out a special meeting on disaster prevention and mitigation, studied the document "Hai'an Education and Sports System 2024 National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day Activity Plan", deployed and implemented disaster prevention and mitigation safety education, safety publicity, safety hazard inspection, earthquake avoidance and evacuation drills and other related work, and required all faculty and staff to do all the work in detail, so that everyone can talk about safety and be able to respond to emergencies.
2. Intensify publicity efforts and create a propaganda atmosphere
Kindergartens make full use of various means of propaganda and actively carry out propaganda work. The large LED screen is used to play the propaganda slogan about the "National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day" in a loop, so as to effectively improve the awareness rate of the masses; Through publicity banners, kindergarten official accounts and class groups, parents were educated on disaster prevention and mitigation, which improved parents' emergency response ability in the face of disasters; Teachers in each class also organized children to carry out "disaster prevention and mitigation" education activities. By watching the "Disaster Prevention and Mitigation" promotional video and children's paintings, the children were vividly and intuitively explained the relevant knowledge of disaster prevention and mitigation, and further improved the children's safety awareness and self-rescue ability.
3. Carry out safety investigations and build a solid line of defense
The kindergarten safety leading group carried out a dragnet investigation and rectification of potential safety hazards. Investigate the power supply, wires, large toys, hanging objects outside the building, fire hydrants and fire extinguishers on each floor of the classrooms and canteens in the whole park, and other important places and key parts to ensure that there are no safety dead ends.
Fourth, simulate actual combat drills to improve emergency response capabilities
On the morning of May 13, all teachers and students in the park conducted a safe escape drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction. In accordance with the emergency avoidance requirements, essentials, routes and personnel arrangements deployed in advance, the drill was successfully completed. The drill once again deepened the mastery of all teachers and students in the event of an earthquake, and improved the emergency evacuation ability of teachers and students in dense places.
Safety is the foundation of every family's happy life, and it is also the premise of every child's healthy growth.
