Good photos and bad photos are often in the first thought, and if you grasp some key points, it is not so difficult to take good photos. Here are a few points that are easy to overlook in the process of taking pictures.
1. The state of the character is important
In portrait photography, a pose and the state of the person are very important. Sometimes you can't do anything wrong, so you can look at the photos you have taken first to see what the problem is. Is the environment bad? Is the composition wrong, or is there something wrong with the figure's posture or state?
It's easy to see the problem with the posture of the figure, but it's easy to ignore the state of the figure. The photographer has to constantly adjust the mood of the person, and only press the shutter when the best state and pose are in tune with the shot.
A change in state can change mood, as well as subtle changes in posture. While we pay attention to the posture of the characters, we should also pay attention to the subtle changes in the state of the characters, and the changes in the expressions of the characters are easy to ignore during the shooting process.
2. The influence of color
The tone of a photo is the most direct reflection of the mood of the picture, color is the first intuitive vision, the photo transmits information through color, and then the content of the picture is interpreted. If you can accurately express your ideas through the tone of the photo, you have opened a door.
In a complex environment, we have to consider the impact of color on the picture while looking for the target we shoot and simplifying the picture.
For example, this part is good, you can see a uniform tone when you lower the exposure, and the atmosphere of the picture will come out immediately, and it would be good if you waited for a suitable person to appear.

In any scene, no matter how ordinary it is, as long as the light is used, we use the appropriate tone to express the texture of light and shadow, and the atmosphere of the picture will be there. In terms of color, you should be bold in subtraction, and it will be more perfect if it is in a uniform tonal atmosphere.
3. Large light ratio is difficult to control
Most novices have no idea how strong or weak the light is, and in many scenes our eyes look beautiful, but the photos we take are miserable.
That's what we see
Here's how it was filmed
In such a scene, the contrast between light and dark is huge (we call it a large light ratio). If you don't have excellent skills (including post-production technology), you can't shoot well. Because the information that the camera can record is very limited, it can only record a limited number of details, and the picture looks dirty because too much detail is lost.
For novices, it is better to choose a smooth light or low light.
4. Ignoring the direction of light
It should be said that the light can be shot at any angle. But only if you know very well what the effect of a photo taken with different angles of light will work. If it achieves your intended purpose, it's good.
However, many novices only consider the angle of the person and ignore the angle of light. I don't know how different angles of light affect the photo.
When taking a photo, you need to consider the angle of the subject, but you also need to consider the angle of the light, and the direction of the light plays an important role in expressing emotion.
Side lighting can outline light and shadow, enhance the contrast of the scene, can create a dramatic effect, and convey strong emotions.
Backlighting can create contours and halo effects, adding a sense of fantasy or mystery.
Positive light, on the other hand, is more peaceful and suitable for conveying calm or comfortable emotions.
We all need to experiment with different lighting angles, understand the impact it has on the picture, and you will find it fun.
These are just a few of the details that I tend to overlook in photography. A lot of times, it's not that we're in a bad shooting environment, it's that we're inexperienced. What are some of the problems you encounter in photography? Feel free to add in the comment section.
