According to the judgment document of the case, in August 2022, a Porsche Paramela hybrid model suddenly caught fire in the cockpit while driving on Jiangjing Road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, causing extensive damage to the body.
The motor vehicle appraisal and evaluation agency believes that the cause of the fire was the fault of the electrical circuit at the rear end of the right slide rail of the main driver's seat of the accident vehicle, which was caused by defects in the production quality of the vehicle.
For this reason, Foshan Shunde Branch of Chinese Life Property Insurance Co., Ltd., as the plaintiff, sued Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. in court.
After trial, the court ordered the defendant Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. to compensate the plaintiff 1,265,900 yuan, as well as pay 60,060 yuan for appraisal fees and 16,733.6 yuan for case acceptance fees.
