On the occasion of the International Museum Day on May 18, on the afternoon of May 15, the "Study Aesthetics - Research Exhibition on Scholar's Art and Literati Life" opened at the Han Meilin Art Museum in Hangzhou. The exhibition aims to explore and display the aesthetic imagery in the study of the ancients, using the study as a link to dig deep into the aesthetic interest and cultural life of the ancient literati, promote the inheritance, protection and activation of traditional culture, and find the reason and path for the survival of traditional life aesthetics in contemporary life.

The exhibition is organized by the Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area Management Committee and the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Gardens and Cultural Relics, co-organized by the Han Meilin Art Museum and the Art Appreciation Department of the China Academy of Art.

In his speech, Wu Tao, director of Han Meilin Art Museum, introduced the theme and basic information of the exhibition, emphasizing the importance of inheritance, protection and revitalization of traditional culture. Academic advisor: He Shiyang, professor and doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Art, delivered a speech on the academic background of the exhibition, in-depth analysis of the value and significance of study aesthetics in contemporary society.

At the exhibition site, the internal connection between the "theory", "material" and "modeling" of the study utensils is shown in a visual way, allowing people to have a deeper understanding of the materials, craftsmanship and functions of the ancient Chinese study utensils. The exhibition is divided into three chapters: "Preservation of Calligraphy and Painting", "Scholar's Utensils" and "The Covenant of Taoist Vessels", presenting 18 groups of works that "revitalize tradition", fully demonstrating the unique charm of study aesthetics.
