Q1: At the end of today's press conference, the price came out very explosively, what is your expectation for the sales of Zhiji L6? In particular, will its subsequent sales and monthly sales be able to surpass the Xiaomi SU7?

A: Liu Tao: Any product will definitely go through some twists and turns before it really becomes a hit. Zhiji L6, whether it is the three electrics, intelligent driving and the original intelligent cabin, or the quality of the styling, interior and exterior decoration, definitely has the potential of a super explosive product; It is a handsome and practical sedan.

Since 2014, SAIC has started the pre-research of the origin architecture of Zhiji Automobile's iO, and it took more than ten years to really take root in technology to develop today's Zhiji L6, in a sense, the chassis has undergone cross-generational evolution.

In the more than three years since Zhiji Auto started its business, it has also done a lot of in-depth research and development. In particular, the software system of the smart cabin, from IMOS 1.0 and 2.0 to today's 3.0, is indeed reborn. Through this project, Zhiji has truly applied the capabilities of software, intelligent driving, and AI from theory to practice, and has made solid progress from L7, LS7, and L6 to today.

Let's look at the intelligent chassis technology. The car is a machine that changes the world, and it is completely different from a mobile phone, after all, the car has to speed at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour, it is a mobile car that carries the happiness and dreams of the family. Therefore, when we combine software capabilities, intelligent driving capabilities, intelligent cabin capabilities, and intelligent digital chassis capabilities, it is difficult for other competing products to PK with us in the short term.

The product power of Zhiji L6 is very "explosive", and the price is also very "explosive", which is due to SAIC's deep technical background, extremely strong supply chain capabilities and resource integration capabilities.

Although it is difficult to give a specific sales forecast; However, with the support of comprehensive capabilities, we believe that in the short term, at least from the perspective of product strength, cost performance, and cross-generational technology evolution, there will be no stronger smart car products than L6 on the market. The sales volume of Zhiji L6 will definitely enter the forefront of the industry.

Q2: First, there have been some brands that AEB has not taken effect before, the AEB working speed range of Zhiji L6 is 8-130km/h, and all systems are equipped, why does Zhiji attach so much importance to AEB function? Second, the price of L6 is very strong, other brands may not be as strong as L6 and the price is higher, what are your thoughts on the pricing of Zhiji L6?

A: Liu Tao: The AEB technology of Zhiji L6 is indeed very "explosive". I have always believed in the phrase "life cannot be OTA, intelligence must be OTA", which is also the underlying product logic and values that Zhiji Auto has adhered to since the establishment of the brand. If our AEB capability is not above the average level, if our intelligent driving capability is not more than three times the safety of human driving, we will not push these functions to users OTA, and we care more about human safety than sexy functions.

Mao Zhenyong: We will gradually roll out the full capabilities of AEB along with the update rhythm of the entire product cycle of Zhiji L6. We are now also doing a lot of optimization and final confirmation of some long-tail problems in the process of traditional intelligent driving, Tao always has a saying that is very right, which is the most important point in the heart of our entire Zhiji team: "Life cannot be OTA, intelligence must be OTA".

As the speed of feature rollouts accelerates, the level of issues and risks rises exponentially, and we are relatively conservative because we have to validate the whole solution to perfection. In this regard, Zhiji's current approach is different from that of some new OEMs. I also got to know some media teachers through my PR classmates, and they have been suggesting that we should fully roll out the features as soon as possible, but the reason why Zhiji adopts a more conservative strategy is because we will never let problems and risks happen, and human life is the most important thing for us.

Liu Tao: On the issue of profitability, it is indeed a big challenge. But relatively speaking, under the same scale, with the blessing of SAIC's strong supply chain system, the profitability of Zhiji L6 must be the strongest, for two reasons, one is the level of the supply chain; The second is the ability to control prices and sales, which are all manifestations of comprehensive competitiveness. The automotive industry is a capital-intensive, technology-intensive and resource-intensive industry, and when a relatively balanced sales volume and scale are reached, the cost will drop significantly, and the magnitude and space for the decline are large.

In addition, I want to share that powerful products and explosive performance sometimes do not depend on cost, and the digital chassis of Zhiji L6 is actually using the super ability of hardware and software to achieve cost reduction.

For example, the IM AD intelligent driving system of Zhiji L6 uses the strongest AI intelligent driving chip on the surface at present, and only needs a high-precision lidar to achieve the intelligent driving level that many other friends in the industry can achieve with two or even three lidars. This is a very interesting choice, when the algorithm level is average, it is necessary to pile up perception hardware and computing power chips to achieve some functions, but when the intelligent driving ability of Zhiji, including Transformer and BEV, is getting stronger and stronger, it can greatly reduce the dependence on computing power and high-priced lidar perception hardware.

For example, the AEB works in the speed range of 8-130km/h, and achieves the same silky "more human-like" urban NOA capability, L6 requires less perception hardware and computing power, which achieves a clever balance: it has a better experience, and at the same time reduces costs through technical capabilities. This is a topic that the entire automotive industry will face in the future, and the stronger the capability, the more it can really reduce costs through technology.

Q3: There were some episodes at the last pre-sale conference, there were many different voices about Zhiji in terms of marketing, some people said that Zhiji as a high-end brand has its own way to go, and there is no need to be tied to anyone. From a marketing perspective, what do you think about this? Second, which of the 5 versions of the Zhiji L6 is the kingpin version?

A: The technology conference on April 8 itself was very successful, delivering the new Greylizard digital chassis, the explosive performance of the Zhiji L6 and the differentiated capabilities of the intelligent cockpit; But let's be realistic, we have some mistakes in data labeling, and it is necessary to correct them when we know the mistakes.

The words I said at the end of the press conference really wanted to simply thank my friends at that moment, but there were some inappropriate expressions. We have all struggled together, in recent years, whether it is competition or team technological innovation, the challenges and pressure of competition are very great, and the partners are very hard working and also very innovative and pioneering spirit.

From this incident, we also realized that traffic is very important, and as a new brand, Zhiji Auto has a lot to learn from Internet companies in terms of traffic operation and management, and we have also reviewed it in many aspects. Any new brand, any company, in the face of market competition, must find its own way. PK traffic with friends is not necessarily our strength or strength, our strength is technology, really do some underlying technological innovation, and truly do the best integration of user experience and technology underlying innovation, which is our real strength.

We need to take our technical strengths and user scenarios as the real focus of our future marketing, and simply to win traffic is not our characteristic, nor is it what we are good at.

Regarding the model version, among all the versions of the Zhiji L6, I personally prefer the Max ultra-long range version with a range of 850 km. Because in terms of performance, the 000 acceleration of 4.6 seconds has killed more than five or six hundred gasoline vehicles in seconds. In the city, sometimes the commuting distance is relatively short, but on weekends I occasionally have to travel by car, and the 850 km endurance version, whether it is very strong performance or mileage, is a very good choice for me to use in a city like Shanghai.

Chen Wei: When defining the product, we believe that these five versions are the most competitive and comprehensive products in their respective price segments. For example, the entry-level L6 Max standard version model is equipped with all six ace configurations, and the price of 199,900 is an undoubted product benchmark in this price segment.

239,900 Max long battery life version, the battery pack uses an 83-degree battery, which is a product that can solve the user's demand for 800V, fast charging, and battery life, and at the same time superimpose air suspension, rear-wheel steering, lidar, and 2950mm wheelbase, giving the top configuration of the electric car within 250,000 yuan, becoming the most complete product in this price segment.

There is also the Max ultra-long range version with an 850 km range, which is a product that emphasizes peak battery life. With 2.74-second acceleration for extreme performance, the 4WD Max Super Performance Edition, and the currently pre-released Max Lightyear Edition with a first-generation light-year solid-state battery, the original intention of the Zhiji L6 product definition is to hope that users can find their own version according to their respective needs.

Mao Zhenyong: If I just use it myself, then I will definitely choose the Max Super Performance Edition, because I really like the feeling of flying close to the ground; If you want to take into account home and long-distance travel use, I would choose the Max ultra-long range version with a range of 850 km, there will be no range anxiety, and the coverage of 850 km is completely OK.

Q4: The digital chassis of the lizard is a configuration with very scientific and technological attributes, in daily life, what benefits will it bring to users?

A: Mao Zhenyong: We hope that the digital chassis of the lizard can be comprehensively improved in terms of flexibility, comfort and safety.

In terms of flexibility, we hope that the Skinker Digital Chassis can achieve a small turning radius of 4.99 meters through the intelligent four-wheel steering system. At the same time, with the comprehensive management of chassis and power domain, the digital chassis of the Lizard can achieve "extreme delivery". There are also devil parking garages, two-way dual carriageways, small-angle curves, etc., which are often encountered in urban scenes, which can be handled better through the lizard digital chassis, bringing users an unprecedented flexible experience.

In terms of safety, we have done a lot of work in the entire power domain and chassis domain, including high-speed emergency avoidance and obstacle avoidance, and the Grey Lizard digital chassis has a rescue efficiency of about 30% faster than the traditional ESP; For example, in scenarios such as different adhesions on both sides of the road, ice and snow roads, slippery roads, etc., Zhiji L6 can achieve a more important improvement in safety through the civet digital chassis.

In terms of comfort, we hope that during the entire driving process, including the braking process, the Zhiji L6 can bring comfort to users through the Grey Lizard digital chassis. We also made the function of ICS gimbal braking on the motor; Another example is the high-speed elevated road in the city, the large-angle curve of the off-ramp, the gimbal body control function can effectively suppress the body roll and reduce the possibility of motion sickness for rear passengers.

Generally speaking, the new technology of the Grey Lizard Digital Chassis can bring you a new experience of flexibility, comfort and safety. I hope that everyone will go to the store to test drive the real car of Zhiji L6, I believe there will be a stronger perception.

Q5: Zhiji's product strength is so good, why is it not particularly good in terms of delivery data? There are only three consumer purchase lists, which means that if we can't make TOP3, the marginal effect will decrease very much. This time, our pricing, product strength, and technical strengths are indeed full, but in terms of marketing, how do we squeeze into the user's purchase list? As you mentioned earlier, the combination of technical strengths and user scenarios should be combined, what specific measures will be taken for marketing in the next step?

A: Liu Tao: LS6 was released on August 26 last year and launched on October 12, and within two months, we have delivered 10,000 units per month from zero, which proves that there are still a lot of users in the market who recognize the technology. However, we do still have a lot to improve in terms of marketing continuity, brand awareness, deep user experience and end-user experience delivery.

In fact, China's current intelligent technology is already leading the world, and it is also ahead of the user's perception. Technology is advancing too fast, and consumers may not understand smart electric vehicles as quickly as industry technology. Therefore, the cutting-edge technology is truly intelligent, but the use scenario still needs to be run in when the terminal is transmitted to the user, and sometimes it is not as easy to pass on to the user as the refrigerator, color TV and color.

Last month, we built the world's largest "Skinkling Digital Chassis" experience base in Bicester, Shanghai, and operated for one month. In the 20,000 square meters of Bicester, 17 scenes have been created that allow you to experience the intelligent functions brought by the digital chassis of the lizard, so that users and media teachers can deeply experience the value it can bring in that scene.

For example, we built a darkroom to simulate rainstorm weather, and there is nothing to see in the darkroom, and there may be some bicycles and pedestrians next to it, but through our rainy night mode and AI-enhanced display, we can help users identify road conditions in that environment. For another example, one-click welt, one-key walk-through, one-click tracking, after going to the venue to try, there will be a peak experience that is 10 times stronger than the video.

We not only made such an experience venue in Bicester, but also made some innovations in the Zhiji Brand Experience Center. For example, we can replicate the particularly representative Bicester scene in the experience center, or the underground garage of the experience center, or the parking lot of the delivery center, so that users can come to the experience center to test drive, and they can also experience a 4.99-meter turning radius on a narrow road, how incredible; We will also continue to try deeply, from media promotion to terminal sales consultants, to deliver these classic scenarios and experiences to users, and we still have a long way to go to achieve this.

The better we sew together the barriers between user perception and technology, the better the sales conversion will be. We want to let users have a deeper understanding of Zhiji's technical highlights through a scenario-based approach, and although it will take a little time for the new technology to be delivered to the end user, it is a difficult but correct thing, and we will stick to it.

Q6: Is the price of Zhiji L6 sacrificing some profits in the market? Or are you worried about the risk of "the more you sell, the more you lose"?

A: The just-released Zhiji L6 has brought consumers a shocking price surprise, mainly based on three considerations: user needs, group empowerment, and market environment.

First of all, the Zhiji L6 is the king of science and technology of SAIC's "ten years of sharpening a sword", and it integrates a large number of cross-generational pioneering technologies such as "Skink Digital Chassis" and "Future Smart Cabin". A very powerful product should be experienced and owned by more users. Therefore, in the early stages of product planning, we wanted to make cutting-edge technology innovation accessible to everyone with more sincere pricing.

Such a shocking price can achieve the "lizard digital chassis", intelligent four-wheel steering system, ultra-long-range high-precision lidar, NVIDIA DRIVE Orin X chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, ISC smart light language system, six black technology gold medal configurations, as well as urban NOA, City Drive and multi-view Carlog and other innovative intelligent functions to enjoy everyone, only the "national team factory" can do it.

Secondly, Zhiji Automobile is the "No. 1 project" of the entire SAIC Group. Q7: Is the Grey Lizard Digital Chassis the ultimate evolution of the chassis system? After mastering the technology of digital chassis, how has the cooperation model with suppliers changed?

A: Liu Tao: I have been making an analogy, the ultimate form of intelligent chassis in the future is intelligent lifeforms, and all parts of the body have the ability to control independently and can cooperate. Just like a pet dog or a running cheetah, the coordination of limbs is coordinated by the cerebellum. The cerebellum of this living form is what I think is the ultimate form of the digital chassis, and the difference is that the algorithm of this cerebellum must improve, and our motor ability must also improve.

Many users feel that they can buy air suspension, intelligent electronically controlled shock absorbers, four-wheel steering, etc. for 200,000 yuan, and the sense of gain is at least tens of thousands, but I think that in addition to the user's sense of gain, the more important thing is the sense of experience. If there is no four-wheel steering, only the front wheel steering, the rear wheel is always dragged, just like a living organism runs with only the front leg and the hind foot is dragged. Therefore, the digital chassis centralizes the control of four-wheel steering, air suspension, and intelligent electronically controlled shock absorbers in order to achieve coordinated movement like a living body, which is the underlying logic of the digital intelligent chassis.

To sum up, I think that in the short term and even in the medium term, the ultimate form of the smart chassis will be 6 degrees of freedom collaborative control. With the continuous improvement of the digital chassis software capability, the ability to coordinate the motion control and the level of control, the movement ability of this living organism will also be better.

Mao Zhenyong: We have a very good cooperative relationship with some international traditional Tier1s. OEMs still start with integration and control strategies, we will lead and integrate the core control and application of all the upper layers, and the underlying basic control code and control logic need to rely on the capabilities of core suppliers. While we have all the control strategies and control parameters, including some scenario definitions and control logic, we still have a very good working relationship with our suppliers.

Q8: What are the characteristics of the user group of Zhiji L6, and what are the designs of Zhiji L6 for their needs?

A: Chen Wei: We have been closely tracking user needs. When the design of the Zhiji L6 began, we did a lot of research on users. Through the latest survey of thousands of booking users, there are several core findings: the ratio of male to female users of Zhiji L6 users is about 2:1. At present, the user penetration of Zhiji L6 in high-tier cities is relatively high, and nearly 70% of users live in high-tier cities. In addition, the average age of Zhiji L6 users is more than 50% of the post-90s, and there are more users from childless families.

Since the target group of Zhiji L6 is users in younger high-tier cities, we have made various improvements to its urban traffic scenarios, including functions and experience. For example, the Zhiji L6 is equipped with a digital chassis for the Lizard, and a large part of the reason is that we have found that users in high-tier cities have a great demand for easy entry and exit through narrow intersections and narrow parking spaces when commuting.

In addition, the intelligent demands of this group of target users are relatively strong, so Zhiji L6 has functions such as City Drive. After the technical conference on April 8, we also decided that all Zhiji L6 series are equipped with ISC smart light system. All these considerations are to design a car according to the actual needs of urban youth.

Q9: What will happen to LS6 in the second half of this year? In the next 1-2 years, how will Zhiji choose market share and other aspects? In addition, in terms of intelligent driving, Momenta has begun to supply more international manufacturers, is there a guarantee for Zhiji's service?

A: Liu Tao: The follow-up facelift of LS6 and LS7 will be launched one after another. In terms of rhythm, the new speed of Zhiji's future products will pay tribute to the 3C industry, and our future product iteration goal is to iterate once a year, assuming 3-4 main sales models, the replacement will be very fast, basically according to 18 months, 12 months to plan. It may be a hot period of four months, and it may be a stable plateau period in the later period. By the 13th month, new products came up again. We will form 3-4 waves of new products a year, not only to do branding, to do popularity, but also to do market heat, we will probably follow this rhythm to launch products. We have two more products to be introduced to the market this year, please look forward to it.

Chen Wei: About Momenta, we call it "Golden Partner", and we have an integrated way of working. Within the year, our NOA will be launched nationwide, thanks to the very efficient and close cooperation with Momenta. Momenta has hundreds of people working on the premises, and everyone is really developing shoulder to shoulder, back to back.

Q10: We understand that the cost of air suspension is 5000-8000 yuan, and Zhiji can upgrade the air suspension for 3999 yuan, how to consider the cost? Does the air suspension have any effect on the entire chassis function?

A: Mao Zhenyong: Every new technology has a corresponding price, but the digital chassis is a cross-era technical solution. From a technical point of view, air suspension and intelligent electronically controlled shock absorbers are indispensable elements of the digital chassis, which allows us to have a lot to offer in terms of vehicle configuration or definition. I think that the cost should not affect the promotion of the entire core product and cross-era solutions, and the cost should be considered, and the performance should also be considered.

Chen Wei: We don't add costs to individual configurations, but we look at them holistically. From the perspective of 6 degrees of freedom control, the air suspension can directly increase the control of two degrees of freedom, which is a very important actuator; In addition, we also have a good cooperative relationship with air suspension suppliers. All things considered, the configuration of air suspension can greatly enhance the comprehensive strength of the digital chassis of the lizard.

Liu Tao: After we released the first generation of light-year solid-state batteries on April 8, there was a wave of discussion about solid-state battery trends in the industry, which is very important. In the process of iteration of intelligent electric vehicle technology, many system solutions have emerged, such as solid-state batteries, which must be the most important development trend in the future; Another example is air suspension, friends have done a very good job, pulling the domestic air suspension to a very competitive level, then there may be more opportunities in the fields of rear-wheel steering, brake-by-wire, dry braking and so on. This is a very important point in our industry, as long as the industry is uncoiled, the performance of the product will be better and better, and the price will be greatly reduced.

To give you an example, when Zhiji first started his business, the price of lidar was very high. Today, compared with China's domestic high-line count and high-precision lidar, the price is even reduced to 10%, so the technology iteration makes people's blood boil, and you can find solutions with better cost and stronger performance, which is where our generation of entrepreneurs is particularly lucky.

In addition, Zhiji has a particularly big advantage. Now the market is relatively volatile, and the pressure on various car companies is very great. With less than 1,700 employees, Zhiji is very lightweight. However, Zhiji has a strong SAIC Group behind it, and partners such as supply chain, suppliers, research institutes, and Zerobeam are our backing and support, so in the cruel competition, Zhiji can maintain a certain degree of flexibility.

Finally, we completed a Series B financing some time ago. I believe that as long as Zhiji polishes its products, makes good use of its cash reserves, and improves its development efficiency, it will be able to better respond to market changes.

Q11: I would like to ask Mr. Tao two brand questions: First, do you think that the development status of Zhiji Automobile has met the expectations of SAIC and investors? Or has it exceeded expectations? Second, backed by SAIC's advantages as the largest domestic export enterprise for many years, has Zhiji Automobile formulated a plan to go overseas?

A: Liu Tao: The first question is that Zhiji Automobile has been established for more than three years, and has launched 4 new models in a row, and the speed of new products is very fast, and the speed of technology iteration is also very fast, whether it is software or hardware, including platform, intelligent driving, etc., the research and development speed is very fast. We are also challenged by the intensity of market competition. Whether it is technological innovation, user scenario innovation, or brand innovation, we are still on the road of progress. We are still some way from real success, but we are confident.

Another question, with regard to exports, we have started small-scale export attempts last year, and we have also achieved some export results. This year, we will significantly accelerate the development of the Zhiji L6, which has just been launched today, with the C-NCAP and E-NCAP five-star safety standards and the highest safety level of the China Insurance Research Institute as the development goal to provide users with a full sense of security. SAIC has been the No. 1 domestic automobile group in exports for many years, far surpassing the second and third places, and has established SAIC International's global export channels and partners, which is the strongest backing of Zhiji Automobile. This year, we will focus on exports, and see the results in the second half of the year.

Q12: By combining the intelligent driving domain with the intelligent cabin domain, what other scenario-based needs can L6 solve for users?

A: We believe that the future development direction of the intelligent cabin must be the cross-domain integration of the intelligent driving domain, the intelligent cabin domain, and the chassis domain, so as to continuously create a more subversive travel experience for users. The "Future Smart Cabin" created by Zhiji in the automotive industry shares the computing power of cameras and chips through the integration and opening of the intelligent driving domain, intelligent cabin domain, and chassis domain. Leading the application of AI algorithms and large model technology to create intelligent new leisure experiences for users in batches, and define the leading generation of full-scene intelligent travel experience.

For example, the "one-key AI driving" function realizes "one-key" functions such as one-key welting, one-key getting out of trouble, and one-key tracking. These functions can be operated based on a few simple triggers. We have a special team to develop the "one-click" function, and there will be more one-click functions to all users through OTA in the future. At the same time, based on the integration of intelligent driving and intelligent cabin, the language mode will be optimized in the future, and the AI function will continue to be strengthened after the language mode is upgraded.

The new function City Drive launched by Zhiji L6 and Volcano Engine (owned by ByteDance) have in-depth cooperation in the field of model applications and algorithms, making driving an interesting "brush" experience.
