Daewoo Information officially issued an announcement yesterday (May 14), announcing that the company's board of directors has resolved to dispose of the intellectual property rights of "The Legend of Sword and Fairy" (excluding Chinese mainland) and "Xuanyuan Sword" intellectual property rights (worldwide) held by Daewoo Information.
According to the content of the announcement, the chairman of the board of directors is authorized to plan and negotiate, and if there is a follow-up consultation with a suitable transaction partner and conditions, it will be handled in accordance with the "Procedures for Acquiring or Disposing of Assets" of Daewoo Information Company.
Previously, CMGE bought a 51% stake in Beijing Softstar, a subsidiary of Daewoo Information, for 213 million yuan in 2018, and then acquired the remaining shares of Softstar for HK$640 million in 2021, as well as all the rights and interests in the mainland IP of "The Legend of Sword and Fairy".
