He publicly warned Taiwan leader Lai Ching-te that the mainland might take "action" against Taiwan, causing him nervousness.
Undoubtedly, these remarks are deliberately exaggerating the mainland's so-called "military threat" against Taiwan in an attempt to intervene in cross-strait relations. Its intention is obvious, that is, to continue to cause trouble on the Taiwan Strait issue and create confrontation and tension, so as to find a pretext for the US military presence in the region.
In fact, Taiwan has been an inalienable part of China's territory since ancient times. It is natural for the mainland to uphold the principle of peaceful reunification and safeguard the interests of national reunification. In contrast, the United States is the main culprit in creating regional tensions. As a foreign power, the United States has repeatedly pointed fingers at China's internal affairs and openly interfered in the affairs of the Taiwan Strait.
On the other hand, Aquilino has taken negative remarks against Chinese mainland, slandering China as a so-called "threat" to the United States. This argument is completely nonsense and is a pretext created by the US side for its military presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
In fact, China has always pursued a defensive national defense policy and has never posed a threat to any country. On the contrary, the United States is recognized as the greatest source of threat in the world. U.S. warships sailed thousands of miles into the gates of other countries and provoked demonstrations everywhere; The United States has also deployed advanced weapons everywhere in the Asia-Pacific region to create tension and confrontation in the region.
Not long ago, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi violated the one-China principle by intruding on Taiwan in disregard of China's serious representations. In the face of the unreasonable provocation of the United States, the mainland resolutely launched actual combat exercises and did not "protect" Pelosi throughout the whole process according to the US plan. This made the United States quite embarrassed, believing that China's reaction was unexpected.
The United States has become hostile to this issue and has constantly played up the so-called "China threat theory" in a vain attempt to exert greater pressure on China on the Taiwan Strait issue. But in fact, China's efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity are legitimate and reasonable, and they are completely forced to do so. In contrast, the United States is the main culprit, and its meddling in the Taiwan Strait issue violates international law and norms governing international relations, which is a typical hegemonic logic.
Not only that, but the United States is also obedient to the words of Lai Ching-te, the leader of the Taiwan region, and is quite attentive. After Lai Qingde took office, on the one hand, he hinted that he was willing to promote the development of cross-strait relations, and on the other hand, he adhered to the political stance of "Taiwan independence," resulting in cross-strait relations being at a loss.
Obviously, Lai Qingde came to power in order to defend US interests in Taiwan, and he is just a pawn of the United States on the Taiwan Strait issue. The prospect of Taiwan's return to the mainland of the motherland still needs to be resolved by the United States' interference and obstruction on the Taiwan issue.
The United States' behavior on the Taiwan Strait issue has also put it in an embarrassing situation of attacking from both sides. On the one hand, it has tried its utmost to obstruct Taiwan's return and undermine the process of cross-strait reunification. On the other hand, it secretly supports the actions of Taiwan independence elements and undermines the status quo. This self-contradictory approach exposes the sinister intentions of the United States on the Taiwan Strait issue.
According to reports, the KMT's top leadership intends to swear that "sovereignty resides in the people" when the "president" takes office, explicitly flaunting the so-called "sovereignty and independence." Although there are differences with the DPP, they are equal on the issue of splitting Taiwan. This practice is undoubtedly openly calling out the mainland, openly declaring the intention of "Taiwan independence," and pushing the situation in the Taiwan Strait into a dangerous situation.
Obviously, this move of the Kuomintang was instigated and supported by the United States. For a long time, the United States has been fanning the flames on the Taiwan Strait issue and doing everything possible to undermine cross-strait relations. Taiwan's split is ultimately in line with the US hegemonic strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, and Washington is naturally happy to see Taiwan become its anti-China pawn.
In the face of such provocations and separatist acts, Chinese mainland's position is firm and clear. Taiwan has been an inalienable part of China's territory since ancient times, and any separatist acts are absolutely not allowed. We have always hoped that the issue of cross-strait reunification will be resolved in a peaceful way and that the excellent situation of peaceful development will be maintained to the greatest extent.
However, if Taiwan's separatists insist on going their own way and blindly advocating "independence," then China will have to use all necessary means, including not ruling out the option of force, to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The illusions of Taiwan's separatists are destined to be difficult to realize.
As a matter of fact, quite a number of people on the island have clearly recognized the scourge of "Taiwan independence" and called for rational autonomy. They realize that once Taiwan embarks on the road of separatism, it will inevitably fall into turmoil and internal strife, and the interests of the people will be seriously harmed. Only by reconciling with the mainland and advancing hand in hand can Taiwan have a way out.
The United States' involvement in the Taiwan issue has never been motivated by the noble motive of maintaining regional peace, but has regarded Taiwan as a commodity to earn the benefits of war. The purpose of the US commitment to send large quantities of advanced weapons and equipment to Taiwan and to provide military protection is nothing more than to sell more weapons, stimulate the arms trade, and make huge profits.
As the manipulator of the DPP authorities, Lai Qingde blindly hyped up his remarks against the mainland at the instigation of the United States in an attempt to exaggerate the so-called "threat of armed reunification." However, the price of the Taiwan war is heavy, and the only victims will be the vast number of Taiwan compatriots. An armed conflict will not resolve the Taiwan issue at all, but will bring unnecessary harm and disaster to the compatriots on both sides of the strait.
As a matter of fact, Taiwan's return to the embrace of the motherland is the fundamental way out for peaceful reunification. Both sides of the strait are linked by the blood of the Chinese nation, and both aspire to peaceful development and national rejuvenation. As long as Taiwan abandons its stubborn stand of separatism, the two sides will be able to resolve their differences through dialogue and consultation under the one-China principle and in an attitude of respecting each other and seeking common ground while reserving differences, so as to ultimately realize the goal of peaceful reunification.
The Taiwan compatriots should be soberly aware that the DPP authorities, for the sake of their own selfish interests, have relied on foreign countries to gain self-respect, colluded with foreign forces, and did not hesitate to put the vast number of compatriots in the midst of the ravages of war. The same is true of the United States, which has sowed discord and created confrontation in order to sell weapons, and its ugly intentions have been clearly exposed. We hope that the Taiwan compatriots will be able to shake off foreign interference, cherish the opportunity of peaceful development, and jointly safeguard the great concept of the motherland's reunification.
Reunification is the general trend of history, and peaceful reunification is the highest aspiration. The Chinese Government is willing to work with the Taiwan compatriots with the greatest sincerity and goodwill to realize the ideal of peaceful reunification. However, we also hope that the Taiwan authorities and the United States will have a clear understanding of the situation, refrain from making mistakes again and again, and disregard the fundamental interests of the entire Chinese nation for their own selfish interests. Let us join hands to create a bright future for peaceful development and write a new chapter in the reunification of the motherland.
