Ling Zhijun stood outside the office door, waiting until the doctor's lips stopped rolling, and Zhao Xiaodong still sat stiffly. When Ling Zhijun's father died of liver cancer in 1985, he agreed with his wife that no matter who had an incurable disease, they should not hide it from each other.

1. Be open-minded
