On May 14, Jiang'an County Huajiang Junior High School carried out an earthquake escape drill in the spring of 2024.
When the earthquake alarm bell sounded, students quickly covered their heads with their hands or books and squatted under their desks to avoid danger. After the evacuation bell rang, the students, under the command of the teacher, quickly and orderly evacuated to a safe place according to the preset route, and counted the number of people, the whole process took 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
Subsequently, Tian Yu, vice principal of Jiang'an County Huaijiang Junior High School, summarized the drill and corrected the students' wrong behaviors in the escape. Huang Changchun, the principal of the school, elaborated on the significance of this escape drill, popularized the knowledge of earthquake escape, and hoped that students can always be vigilant, calm and rational in case of emergencies, quickly make correct judgments and behaviors, and master emergency escape knowledge and skills.
This earthquake escape drill strengthened the unity and cooperation between teachers and students, improved the overall quality of students and their ability to respond to emergencies, and created a safer and better campus environment.
