  Tianjin Chemical Plant is located in Hangu District, Tianjin, on the shore of the Bohai Sea, adjacent to the Chemical Industrial Zone of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, north of Jingshan Railway, Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, east of Changlu Yantian, rich in resources, convenient transportation and superior geographical location.

  Tianjin Chemical Plant is a state-level large-scale chlor-alkali chemical enterprise, established in 1938, with more than 10,000 employees, covering an area of 3.3 million square meters, fixed assets of 2 billion yuan, and affiliated to Tianjin Bohai Chemical Co., Ltd.

  Tianjin Chemical Plant has a sound management system, strong technical force and supporting public facilities. The main production of caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride, paste PVC, benzene monochloride, epichlorohydrin, hydrochloric acid, liquid chlorine and other products, complete models, excellent quality, products sold all over the country, and exported to the United States, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and other more than a dozen countries and regions. Tiangong brand trademark is well-known at home and abroad, and the company passed the national GB/T19002 and international IS09002 quality system certification in 1996.

  During the visit to Tianhua, the engineers focused on the preparation of caustic soda. I don't know if I don't read it, but when I look at it, I really feel how different the book is from reality. Our high school chemistry teachers know that the raw material for the preparation of caustic soda is raw salt, which is purified by crude salt, and sodium hydroxide solution is prepared by ion membrane electrolysis, and then evaporated to obtain caustic soda solution or flake caustic soda solution of different concentrations. In the actual production of Tianhua, only for the process of crude salt purification, it is to first dissolve the raw salt with a dilute sodium chloride solution (to facilitate the formation of saturated sodium chloride solution) at 65 °C (to accelerate the dissolution rate), add a barium chloride solution with insufficient amount, form a barium sulfate precipitate to remove sulfate ions (the content of the remaining sulfate ions can meet the requirements), and then add a sufficient amount (there are also quantitative requirements, requiring excess carbonate ions to be within a certain range) sodium carbonate solution to form a calcium carbonate precipitate to remove calcium ions. Then add a sufficient amount of sodium hydroxide solution to form a magnesium hydroxide colloidal coating calcium carbonate precipitate to precipitate together to remove magnesium ions, the next step is to add mud that we chemistry teachers did not expect is to add mud, using the principle of colloid, so that the previous precipitation gathers into large particles to facilitate sedimentation, and initially obtains the clear liquid of sodium chloride, and then uses the siphon principle to further refine the sodium chloride solution to meet the requirements of ion membrane electrolysis. And these impurity removal procedures cannot be arbitrarily reversed in the factory, and they should be optimal. This is contrary to the many solutions to the problem of coarse salt purification in textbooks in the past.
