Immediately, another sports event, the 2024 (41st) China Sporting Goods Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "2024 China Sports Expo"), will be held in Chengdu Western China Expo City from May 23 to 26.
It is reported that there are more than 1,600 contracted enterprises at this China Sports Expo, with an exhibition scale of more than 180,000 square meters, and the scale of participating companies and exhibitions will hit a new high. Today, the organizing committee held a press conference to report on the preparations.
Chengdu's fifth start was higher
China Sports Expo is the only national, international and professional sporting goods exhibition, the largest and most authoritative sporting goods event in the Asia-Pacific region, a shortcut for global sports brands to enter the Chinese market, and an important window for Chinese sports brands to show their strength to the world.
Since its inception in 1993, the China Sports Expo has been held for 40 sessions. Prior to this session, Chengdu has successfully held 4 sessions, namely the 7th (1999), 18th (2006), 20th (2007) and 28th (2011), which is the city that has hosted the most China Sports Expo in China except Shanghai.
In 2023, the total scale of Chengdu's sports industry will reach 116.1 billion yuan, and strive to exceed 150 billion yuan by 2025, and the added value of the sports industry will account for more than 2% of the regional GDP.
After a lapse of 13 years, the China Sports Expo was held in Chengdu for the fifth time, which is of great significance for promoting the development of Chengdu's sports industry and promoting the construction of a world famous event city.
Reach new heights and seek high-quality sports development
It is reported that the 2024 China Sports Expo will use halls 1-6, 9-11, 14-16 on the first floor of Western China International Expo City and halls 7 and 8 on the second floor, with a total of four exhibition sections: fitness exhibition area, stadium and equipment exhibition area, sports consumption and service exhibition area, and government sports business area.
In the construction of the major exhibition areas of the 2024 China Sports Expo, the organizing committee has made new optimizations in the planning of the exhibition areas in combination with the hot trends in their respective market segments, and refined the design of the theme content, in order to build an industry map of enterprise cohesion and a new model of high-quality development of the industry.
Since the 2024 China Sports Expo was set in Chengdu on August 8, 2023, the exhibition attraction work has been smooth, and up to now, all the preparations for the exhibition have been basically ready: more than 1,600 companies have signed contracts for the 2024 China Sports Expo, with an exhibition scale of 180,000 square meters - an increase of 20% compared with the previous exhibition in 2023, and the number of exhibitors, participating brands, and product categories have reached a record high; Up to now, the number of pre-registered domestic professional visitors at the 2024 China Sports Expo has exceeded 10,000, with a total of more than 3,000 overseas professional visitors from 64 countries and regions pre-registered, and the total number of visitors at the exhibition site is expected to exceed 100,000, which is expected to hit a record high.
Rich in content 49 activities
After many sessions of full brewing, the conference and forum activity system of the 2024 China Sports Expo has entered the stage of qualitative change this year: it is divided into four categories and a total of 49 activities, including 20 forum meetings, 4 technical seminars, 9 business docking and 16 exhibition hall activities, covering different content and forms of activities such as selection and awards, technical seminars, business docking, standard meetings, report releases, achievement promotion, publicity and training, theme salons, and public experience.
Compared with the previous session, not only the order of magnitude of the event has been improved, but the content dimension is also more diverse.
