On May 13, in the paddy field planting base of Guoxin Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative in Jiangjiadian Korean Township, Liuhe County, several rotary cultivators shuttled back and forth, loosening the soil and preparing the land, and the soil became softer after the ploughing and rake operation. Previously, the fertilizer applicator had spread the organic fertilizer evenly on the plot.
"We have 3 to 4 trucks for rotary tillage every day, ensuring that about 300 acres of land are rotated every day, and all the paddy fields of the cooperative can be rotated in about 10 days." Hou Zhengfa, chairman of Guoxin Agricultural Machinery Cooperative, told reporters that the seedlings of the cooperative's seedling greenhouse have grown to two leaves and one core to three leaves and one core, and they can start transplanting rice in paddy fields in the near future.
In order to tie the first button of the annual agricultural production, Liuhe County has made material reserves in advance, and the county's 93 seed business households and 112 pesticide business households have sufficient supply, and 2,600 tons of seeds and 46,000 tons of fertilizer are planned to be used, all of which have been in place. More than 12,500 sets of agricultural machinery and implements have been overhauled, and the comprehensive agricultural mechanization rate has reached 82.45%. Liuhe Rural Commercial Bank and other credit departments issued 212 million yuan of loans to help farmers, 37 grain enterprises completed the purchase of 327,000 tons of grain, farmers' land income guarantee mortgage loan channels are unimpeded, and spring plowing funds are fully prepared.
At the same time, Liuhe County has set up 18 agricultural technology service teams to carry out activities to send science and technology to the countryside to promote the leading varieties and main technologies of agriculture in 2024. An agricultural technical consultation desk was set up on the spot, and more than 20,000 copies of agricultural science and technology materials were distributed to farmers. Actively hold training courses for high-quality farmers and agricultural science and technology personnel, covering 15 townships and 3 sub-districts in the county, and train 10,000 farmers.
