With the launch of the 2023 vintage, the 2023 vintage of Château de Jar Marqués also received a new label design. The aim of this change is to return to its origins and to take on a new look. In 1972, the Marqués de Riscal built a second winery in the Rueda appellation and promoted the region as a premium appellation of origin (D.O. Rueda). The new label also highlights the Verdejo grape variety and the 100% organic philosophy, representing the winery's sustainability philosophy.
The Marqués de Rigel white wine is one of the most prestigious white wines in the Loueda appellation. It is made from indigenous Verdejo grapes and has pleasant aromas of verbena and tropical fruits, rich flavours and a fresh and lively mouthfeel. This wine has been made with as little human intervention as possible in the vinification process, in order to bring out the authenticity of the Verdejo grape variety and the terroir of this part of the Duero region.
