The scope of the fishing ban area involved this time is: the area between the boundary line of Guangdong-Hong Kong waters east of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bridge and the land area of Shenzhen.
The specific maritime boundary line is as follows: from the estuary of the Shenzhen River (114°02′38.41"E, 22°30′15.45"N), along the center of the South Channel to the Shenzhen Bay No. 84 navigation beacon (113°59′42.20"E, 22°30′36.23"N), and the intersection with the middle of the Shenzhen Bay Bridge (113°57′14.84"E), 22°28′38.82"N) and the Shenzhen Bay Bridge Shekou Dongjiaotou Bridgehead (113°56′E) 45.55", 22°29′23.14"N.
The closed area formed by the above location coordinates and the coastline of Shenzhen is part of the fishing ban area of Shenzhen Bay, excluding the sea area of Nanshan District Talent Park in Shenzhen, and the fishing ban area is about 25.19 square kilometers.
Shenzhen Bay, the coastal waters of the Pearl River Estuary in the west and the mangrove wetlands are the spawning grounds, feeding grounds, wintering grounds and migratory passages of important freshwater fishery resources in the mainland, and are the habitats of many rare and endangered species such as yellow-lipped fish, anchovy, Chinese sturgeon, Chinese white dolphin, finless porpoise, sea turtle, horseshoe crab, black-faced spoonbill, etc. Since the establishment of the fishing ban area, the number of fishery resources in this area has increased significantly, and the aquatic biodiversity has been significantly restored, effectively protecting the ecological balance and creating a shining urban ecological business card.
