"Zero-waste city" is an important part of the construction of "Beautiful China". "Zero-waste cells" is an important carrier to practice the construction concept of "zero-waste city" and promote the formation of resource-saving, environment-friendly production methods and simple, moderate, green and low-carbon lifestyles.
"Waste-free cells" refer to various constituent units of social production and life with outstanding performance in the source reduction, resource utilization and harmless disposal of solid waste, including but not limited to institutions, factories, industrial parks, enterprise groups, communities, campuses, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, scenic spots, hospitals, etc.
In the future, the District Ecology and Environment Bureau will continue to work with relevant functional departments to carry out the construction of "zero-waste city" in multiple fields, always adhere to the concept of "low-carbon new fashion", cultivate more "zero-waste cells", continuously improve the "low-carbon" awareness and participation of the public, promote the construction of "zero-waste city" with high standards, and accelerate the construction of a beautiful Hongkou where man and nature coexist in harmony.
