Recently, on the sales platform of the Shanghai International Dance Center Theater, a rather "trendy" work - "Wild Dance Freestyle" was launched, which combines dance and extreme sports, parkour, skateboarding, BMX, street basketball, break dancing and other sports are integrated into the creation of dance art, presenting a hearty visual feast for the audience.
Dancing Freestyle is a work of challenge, showmanship, ecstasy, concentration and freedom, which brings together the exciting moments of extreme sports players completing the challenging and thrilling movements of the Dutch "Perhaps Extraordinary Dance Company". In this work, the stage of the National Dance Theater will be transformed into a street scene for extreme sports players to challenge themselves, and on the super large U-shaped ramp built on the stage, five street sports such as parkour, skateboarding, BMX, street basketball, and break dancing will be at the peak of the showdown!
More than a dozen actors in the work are also "big names" from various fields, such as six-time Dutch speed runner champion Sibbe van der Spike, inline skating world champion Sven Bockhorst, world-renowned freestyle basketball player Michael van Beek, Dutch break dancer Arnold Putte, and major tournament winner Dez Marsen...... Numerous performers will take turns on stage to demonstrate their skills and provide the audience with a 60-minute non-stop experience.
In addition to the dazzling stage design and performance format, the music is also a highlight of the production, with the choreographer seamlessly blending extreme city sports with dance, music and drama, and multiple performers will perform live, adding artistry to the performance with sometimes exciting and sometimes soft music.
