Recently, the School of Culture and Creativity of Beijing Normal University (UIC) moved the "24 Grids" Film and Television Graduation Film Festival to Zhuhai Haiyun City, presenting a visual feast for the general public. More than 40 short films directed and produced by students were screened to the public, and renowned Hong Kong director Kwan Kam-pang was present to interact with teachers, students and the public. The event not only showcased the demeanor of UIC students, but also brought diversified audio-visual experience and learning opportunities to the public.

With the theme of "Connection", this film festival aims to encourage students to continue to improve in the creative process, and to be able to connect more people and things, and maintain their insight and creativity in new things. The festival lasts from April 17 to May 11, in addition to the screening of graduation works, as well as interaction with film and television celebrities, there are also student directing class screenings and basic lectures on photography creation, all of which are open to the public.

The screening and post-screening talks of director Kwan Jinpeng will be held from May 10 to 11. Three feature films directed by Kwan Jinpeng, "Underground Love", "Ruan Lingyu", "Rouge Buckle" and the documentary "Boys and Women: The Gender of Chinese Films" were screened on the spot. After the screening, director Kwan Jinpeng interacted with the teachers, students and members of the public, responding to questions raised by them about on-site shooting, actor guidance, short film script writing, etc., and sharing what he has seen and heard in the film and television industry.

Director Kwan graduated from the Department of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University. Since directing his debut film "A Woman's Heart" in 1985, his work has won many awards. "Underground Love" was selected for the competition unit of the Locarno Film Festival; "Rouge Buckle" starring Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung has created a box office miracle in the field of non-action movies and gained a large number of international audiences; "Ruan Lingyu" was selected for the Berlin International Film Festival, and the heroine Maggie Cheung won the Golden Bear Award for this film.

This year's film and television students have a variety of graduation works, including feature films, documentaries, music shorts, feature film scripts and research papers. Among them, Huang Yan'an's feature film "Long Time No See" was selected for the Hi Shorts! Xiamen Short Film Week Venture Capital Unit and won the Nanguang Light and Shadow Sailing Award.
