A few days ago, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the "Notice on Determining the First Batch of National Primary and Secondary School Science Education Experimental Zones and Experimental Schools" (Education Supervision Office Letter [2024] No. 1), identifying 125 national primary and secondary school science education experimental areas and 994 national primary and secondary school science education experimental schools. Jinniu District was selected as the "National Science Education Experimental Area for Primary and Secondary Schools".
In recent years, Jinniu District has actively explored the road of science education of "regional co-ordination, innovation and leadership, comprehensive popularization and characteristic development", and has successively established science education bases such as the Aerospace Ground Control Center of Wanda School of Chengdu No. 7 Middle School, the Emergency Science Popularization Experience Hall of Chengdu Yingbin Road Primary School, the Sky Farm of Yipin Tianxia Branch of Chengdu Shisun Street Primary School, and the Meteorological Science Popularization Base of Chengdu Jinjian Primary School. In the past three years, schools in the district have carried out 1,430 online and offline activities such as "Science and Technology Festival" and "Scientists on Campus", serving nearly 200,000 students.
