Took care of his vegetative wife for 26 years without regrets

At the same time, in order to facilitate the care of his wife, he carried his wife into the store, lived there, and did massage while soliciting business. The pressure of unemployment, debt, severe overdraft of energy and physical strength, and the depression of living in the funeral supplies and life and death environment every day often made him feel in a trance, dizzy, and weak...... Life is so difficult, but Fang Ze'an has never given up on his wife's rehabilitation. Ten years, twenty years...... For nearly 10,000 days and nights, black hair turned into white hair, middle-aged became old, and the wheelchairs used to push his wife were changed 5 times, but he had no regrets, he had no regrets, he took care of his low-minded and sickly wife meticulously, and never had a bedsore.
In order to fulfill the promise he made to his wife when he was young, after his wife's condition improved and consulted a doctor, he took out the meager income he had saved over the years, put on a wheelchair, carried a shoulder bag, prepared enough diapers, and took her to Beijing, Qingdao, Nanjing and other places to see the great rivers and mountains of the motherland. He pushed his wife to the hospital to see a doctor, bask in the sun in the park, go out by train, and after years of drug treatment, his wife lost her hair, and many people mistakenly thought that Fang Zean was pushing his mother, but Fang Zean always said unabashedly that it was his wife, which attracted praise from passers-by. In fact, under the huge mental and life pressure, Fang Ze'an was not in good physical condition, and successively suffered from aplastic anemia, thymoma and surgery for more than 20 centimeters. Although his life was poor, Fang Ze'an donated money and materials to children and poor people in mountainous areas dozens of times. When he heard about the earthquake in Ya'an, Sichuan Province in 2013, he immediately donated his wife's 1,700 yuan salary to the disaster area through the Provincial Red Cross Society. Fang Ze'an said that for people living in difficulty, money and goods are important, but it is even more important to get the warmth of the heart.
Some people say that Fang Ze is very soft and can't see others in difficulty. Once I participated in a public welfare activity, I met Yuan Yongfu, a combat hero who had participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. This veteran hero has made 14 combat exploits, among which he was awarded a first-class meritorious service in the Jinan Campaign, was awarded the title of "Second-Class People's Hero" by the East China Field Army, and was rated as a "combat model" by the Luzhong Military Region. As one of the largest public rental housing communities in Jinan, Shun'an Community has residents from all over the city, with many elderly people, many low-income groups, and many troubles, making community management very difficult. Fang Ze'an is a low-income person, and the pension of the two sick people adds up to five or six thousand yuan, and his wife has expenses for treatment every month. But he is generous, not stingy, and the neighbors joke that he is "poor" and generous. In 2019, Fang Ze'an was rated as a moral model in the city and was rewarded with 2,000 yuan, and he immediately took it out to install 10 open-air seats in the community square to facilitate the elderly and disabled to rest temporarily. Caring people sent condolences money, and he also took out most of it for public welfare. Seeing the sanitation workers' hard work and cold hands in winter, he bought hundreds of pairs of leather gloves for them. In October 2017, the "Fang Ze'an Hotline" was officially established. Up to now, the "Fang Ze'an Hotline" has received more than 400 visits and calls for consultation and mediation, received more than 20 banners, and held more than 500 volunteer service activities, serving more than 400 people from Shun'an community residents and Xingfu Street to Jinan West Railway Station, and received more than 400 letters of praise from inside and outside the province. The service content has extended from the initial mediation of neighborhood conflicts to various volunteer service projects for the convenience and benefit of the people, such as free haircuts, sewing clothes, vehicle maintenance, massage and massage, and a number of hotline volunteer service teams have been set up to deeply participate in various key work in the street and community. During the fight against the epidemic, Fang Zean accompanied his wife to the hospital for dialysis, and he saw that the hospital was short of manpower, so he took the initiative to apply to be a volunteer, put on an isolation gown, help with registration, disinfection, nucleic acid testing, and clean up garbage. With the development and expansion of the hotline, on March 4, 2023, the "Fang Ze'an Hotline" Volunteer Service Center was officially unveiled in Dahuaishu Square, Xingfu Temple, Huaiyin District, continuing to uphold the purpose of "serving the community and relieving worries for the party committee and government", actively participating in community grassroots governance, and continuously expanding volunteer service projects. He contacted and led the students of the School of Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Massage of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to actively participate in social practice, go deep into communities, squares and parks, do massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy for the elderly and disabled, and explain health knowledge. Through the establishment of "Confucius Classrooms" in volunteer service centers, young people and community corrections personnel are guided to learn virtues and good deeds such as filial piety, diligence, thrift, friendliness, and integrity, and to disseminate excellent traditional culture externally, and to unite the spiritual strength of the masses internally. Fang Ze'an has been hired as an off-campus counselor by many high schools and primary schools in the urban area, and has given nearly 30 lectures on campus.
