Another big "winner" of this year's Golden Broom is the romance film "Can You Don't Leave Me", in addition to winning the other big seat of the "Most Disappointing Film", directors Wang Ziming, Xiao Fei and Song Yang won the "Most Disappointing Director", and the starring Chen Qiaoen was elected "The Most Disappointing Actress".
The romantic comedy "Bei'er Likes You", written and directed by Guo Dalei, won the "Most Disappointing Film" and "Most Disappointing Screenwriter", and the male protagonist Jia Bing "lost" in the "competition" with Allen. The "most disappointing cartoon" that returned after 12 years was won by "I Am Nezha 2: The Return of the Hero".
With the recovery of the film market in 2023, the 15th edition of the "Golden Broom Awards" has resumed the tradition of three seats for "Most Disappointing Film" and two seats for "Most Disappointing Director". The winners of this year's "Golden Broom Award" are from three films: "Super Family", "Can You Don't Leave Me", and "Bei'er Likes You".
This year's expert jury is composed of 23 people, including Alia, Wu Yujuan, Guo Meiqing, Han Haoyue, Jiang Ming, Jing Runcheng, Li Ning, Li Peipei, Liu Xiaodai, Lu Fang, Ma Qingyun, Ma Rongrong, Qin Wan, Tang Dayuan, Wang Libing, Wang Yin, Wu Qi, Wu Qian, Kimchi, Xu Zhipeng, Ye Kuangzheng, Zhang Shilin, and Zeng Nianqun, and the judges include actors, screenwriters, directors, producers, film critics and media people.
The "Golden Broom Award" was initiated by the "Youth Film Handbook" and is the first annual film award in the history of Chinese film that is spurred by criticism. This year's "Golden Broom Award", like the previous one, chose to be announced online.
